Time to play the Game
It's the day after the Super Bowl and I've had some time to think about the lead up, the coverage and everything in between.

This has to be a PR fiasco for the NFL. First the city doesn't know how to handle a snow storm and a clean up process thereafter. They didn't plow or salt down the streets the way they should have. What they did use was sand. Sand doesn't work on ice and makes it worse. Whoever is in charge of that line of work there needs fired.

400 people couldn't use their tickets because their seats weren't finished and were deemed unsafe. Why is that? The Cowboys weren't in the playoffs and their season ended basically after week 3. They had months to do what they needed to do but their arrogance got in the way. Jerry wanted to set an attendance record and instead looks like some cheap ass. They could have had this situation rectified without any issues. Why the last minute act is beyond me. Oh by the way why not go to celebrity row where the tickets were free and have them go to the club and give the paying folks what they paid for..... a seat.

I didn't watch the pre game shows, something I just don't do. I picked up the broadcast around 40 minutes before the game. They were doing some bad Barkley and Shaq routine. I did like the production of the Declaration of Independence. If that didn't get your heart flowing with love for our country, I don't know what will. I've never seen that before but damn that was great. I admit, I was choked up with patriotism.

I always love when they show the jet fighters flying over the stadium, I get super pumped after seeing that, don't ask why but I do. It was a bit tougher to get pumped up this time around as Christina just butchered the anthem and she looked so fake and phony. Her voice sounded like some super old lady, what happened to this woman? That was just horrible. Please leave the singing to professionals from now on.

One thing I noticed is that when they introduced the teams, they didn't introduce the starters this year. Why did that stop? I noticed the Packers looked pumped and ready to go and the Steelers didn't look so into it at the start.

As far as the game, the only difference in this game was turnovers. The Steelers dominated the game and their blunders cost them dearly. Think about it Pack only runs it 10x. Some will say the key to the Pitt loss was the turnover which was run back for a TD and put them down 14-0. Far from it, down 21-17 and Mendenhall fumbled. That's the difference and the ultimate momentum changer in the game.

I didn't watch any interviews or post game coverage so I have no comments there.

Commericals were boring, dumb and head scratchers. I did like two the one where the parents were in a testing room and the baby smashed to the glass and slid down. I thought that was funny and the only commercial I actually used the rewind to watch again. The other commercial was more of a serious tone and I thought really well done. That was the commercial for Detroit and the comeback of the city along with the car makers. The slam on New York and no we aren't from a foreign country was absolutely brilliant. Other than that, they all sucked big time.

I would hope a lot of people at the ad agencies were fired this morning.

That's my take, I think I am going to post my two favorite commercials, I want to make sure I can see them again without looking all over for them.

Looks like enough people complained about the home away commercial and you'll never see it on tv or on their website ever again.

How silly and sensitive people are. Great fn commercial.
