I'm back with a weekly update of what took place in the Bad Man Contest during the season.

Week 1 is in the books and we had our first 5-0 right off the get go! It took a miracle Buffalo come from behind win, a Jets cover by 1/2 point and a Titans cover by 1/2 but they all count as W's.

This contestant will have first crack at a chance of going 15-0 and taking the $200 free play from Sportsbetting.ag !!!!

On the flip side we had three entries go 0-5 including the Doc's Sports Cappers. It will be interesting to see how this professional outfit fares in the contest. Spotting the leader 5 in week 1 will be hard to overcome.

The Consensus Top 5 selections went 1-4 with AZ as the only winner by that 1/2 point margin.

The top play in Pittsburgh lost by that same 1/2 point margin.

I hate to say this but it's just facts. The last two years the best fade of the Bad Man contest has been the overall top selection. Remember last year it started 0-8 after losing the final 7 the year prior.

It's only week 1 but will this trend emerge to be profitable yet again this year. Stay tuned to find out!

Nice week Pinch... I always start at the bottom either by totally flunking week 1 or signing up late... These past few years I've stayed at the bottom LOL, I was hoping for better, like Miami but week 1 wasn't meant to be. Congrats on firing a 5-0 and capturing the weekly prize...

Week 2 in the books...........

We saw Pinch come within 1/2 point of being 10-0. Carolina rally cost him from a shot at 15-0.........

We now have not one but two new shooters looking to keep perfection going after going 5-0 this week. Bob Sparks and UpTwnClwn are in the spotlight.

So far this year, we've had a total of three 5-0 records for the season and a total of five that went 0-5.

Leaders are tied at 9-1 with third sitting at 8-2 and it's the three mentioned above.

I hate to say this but as I mentioned in week 1 the best fade of Bad Man continues to be the overall top pick as it lost again in week 2 and brings the record for the season at 0-2. Denver had the game won and a silly penalty changed that outcome.

The overall top 5 selections so far this year sits at 2-8 after back to back 1-4 records.

The last few years have not been kind to the top selection or the overall top 5. In years past of long lore ago it was always the opposite. The top selection was a printing press and the top 5 rarely had a losing week.

The books have got this down to a science it seems or the contestants are off kilter. In looking at this weeks overall selections, contestants were on 11 of 14 favorites with one game that had an equal amount of picks on each side. Put on your thinking cap for that one..........

Overall Consensus selections went 7-7 to bring the total to 13-15 for the season at 46.73%

Overall selections went 152-188 for 44.71% which was lower than last week 159-181 for 46.76. For the season the record sits at 311-369 45.74%

Four teams really skewed things this week:

DAL 22-5
PIT 19-4
AZ 18-2
DEN 23-12

That equaled out to 82 losses and only 23 wins. Nearly half the losses were on 4 games.

At some point the contestants will string together several winning weeks and that is going to coincide with favorites covering. I only say this because this has been the trend I've observed the last few years. I drop these nuggets to show if you look deeper into the contest, you can glean information that will help you win a few more games with your sportsbook.

Can you believe it will be week 3 already. Before you know it, the season will be over and for some teams in the NFL and in this contest, it may already be over........ As with NFL trends on how teams start, the same can be said for this contest.......... If you've played for a long time, you know what I'm saying is true.

Week 3 in the books and what a week it was.............

We have two new shooters going for 15-0 after a 5-0 week in week 3. BeantownJim and Unclebeny have an opportunity.

As you can see we had 2 people going 5-0 bringing the season total to five.

We had 5 entries that went 0-5 and that brings the total to 10 on the season.

The moment you've been waiting for.........

The overall top selection lost yet again and is now 0-3. To make matters worse the overall top selections went 1-4 and it brings the record to an abysmal 3-12 on the season.

It is really amazing how poorly these picks have gone so far and I can't say I can recall a worse start for three weeks for the top 5 picks. The top selection yes absolutely but the overall top 5 collectively no.

Overall picks went 152-183 for 45.37% Overall picks collectively went 8-6. So outside of the top 5 picks, the rest went 7-2....... that's what makes this so crazy.

NFL and NCAAF have been extremely unpredictable and some really crazy comebacks or finishes.........

I don't think that's going to change anytime soon......... Congrats to the leaders at 11-4 and 10-5......... there will be separation taking place as we move forward. Even those at the bottom 3-12 and 4-11 while it looks bleak now, there's plenty of season to rise up, I've seen it too many times to count anyone out at this point.

Week 4 in the books and yet again a wild and crazy week it was...........

BeantownJim has gone 5-0 for the second consecutive week and if he can pull it off just one more time he will win $200 free play at sportsbetting.ag and will also be the very first person to ever go 15-0. We are potentially 5 picks away from Bad Man History!

We had a total of 4 entries that went 5-0 and that brings the season total to nine.
We had 2 entries go 0-5 and the season total rises to 12.

The Consensus top pick won it's first game of the year with Atlanta and was popular due to going from an underdog to a favorite and that 4 point swing wasn't ignored.

The top 5 overall went 3-2 to improve to 6-14 after 4 weeks.

Overall game selections went 7-7
Overall selections went 152-173 for 46.77% which is the highest it's been all season.
Overall for the season the picks stand at 615-725 for a 45.9% win rate.

The leader is Pinch at 14-6 with five entries tied for second at 13-7 and then another six at 12-8.

The field bunched itself back up this past week after looking like their might be a little separation. There is definitely some separation once we get past 10-10 with 41 entries with 9 or less. Something I can't say I've seen is the mass amount of people at 8-12. Fourteen entries are 8-12 !!!!

Week 5 will prove to be interesting, byes, there are only 13 games and eight of them have spreads of 3.5 or less.

The intrigue, the suspense and BeantownJim results await us in Week 5.............

Week 5 Completed. When I said it was going to be one heck of a ride, I was spot on the money.

What an absolute crazy week and wild finishes took place. This isn't the NFL that we once knew.

BeantownJim and his quest to go 15-0 didn't materialize but we have a new shooter on the books in the name of Go Broncos who was the only entry to go 5-0 in week 5.

We had 1 entry that went 5-0 and that brings the season total to 10.
We had 3 entries go 0-5 and the season total rises to 15.

The top 5 consensus picks went 4-1 however that one loss was a monumental one as Washington sent 31 entries home with a loss and only 2 with a win. It was one of most lopsided picks in Bad Man history.

The top 5 overall improves to 10-15 after 5 weeks.

Overall selections went 164-171 for 48.96% which is the highest it's been all season.
Overall for the season the picks stand at 779-896 for a 46.5% win rate.

The 3 leaders at the top all sit at 16-9 followed by eight entries one back and then another seven two back.

The oddity of the week is we have 17 count em 17 entries with 11 wins.

Right now if you have a bad week while at or near the top, it's been a tumble down the standings. With the field pretty bunched up still, it doesn't take much. It's still up for grabs at this point.

The return of Pinch is the headline!

The only 5-0 in week 8 as he was in week 1. It returned him to a tie atop the list.

We had 1 entries that went 5-0 and that brings the season total to 15.
We had 4 entries go 0-5 and the season total rises to 21.

The top 5 consensus picks went 2-3. The Consensus Top Pick lost for the fourth week in a row as the Steelers cost 28 backers a loss.

The top 5 overall dips to 18-22 after 8 weeks.

In looking at the overall top consensus pick, it should be with an asterisk as the only winner was due to an injury and a big line switch. I hate saying but this has been a gold mine if you've had the chops to fade it. When I see I end up with any pick in the top 5, I'm thinking damn I have a loser now. If it's the top pick, I know I'm losing nearly every time. It's really uncanny how this has played out the last few years. A gold mine should never be looked at bad, just get the clothespin on your nose and go bet against it.

The pace is 56.25 wins needed to win. Note last week it was over 56.5 so a small drop but I think it will drop some more and hold steady. If I had to make a guess right now, I'd say 54-55 wins likely takes the top spot, but there's 10 weeks left and anything is possible.

I feel as if I'm on auto pilot here as just like in Three And Out, there was total carnage, chaos and wild moves up and down the standings.

I don't even know where to begin here, there's a lot of ground to cover.

We had 4 people go 5-0 and it propelled Luffy from out of the clouds to the top of pack as the sole leader. To put things into perspective Luffy was tied for 10th place coming into this week 3 games out of first and is now leading by 1.

Grocery Clerks was tied for 14th and also went 5-0 and is now sitting in a 5 way tie for second.

Parlay Paulie and Finsup23 were the other 5-0 entries this week.

We had 6 entries go 0-5 including the leader after 8 weeks who fell into a tie for 7th. The prior second place entry didn't submit picks and fell down to a tie for 7th as well.

Let's just say there was some whipsaw action this week.

We had 4 entries that went 5-0 and that brings the season total to 19.
We had 6 entries go 0-5 and the season total rises to 27.

The top 5 consensus picks went 1-4. The top 5 record drops to 19-26 after nine weeks.

The Overall Consensus Top Pick lost for the fifth week in a row to drop the overall record to 1-8.

The overall top 4 picks all lost and it cost backers to the tune of: 26-99 record.

The Overall Consensus Top Pick was the sole loss as LAR sent 24 entries home with a loss. This is the seventh week in a row to drop the overall record to 1-10. Two weeks in a row the overall top 5 picks went 4-1 but the curse on the top selections continues. This is the craziest streak I've ever seen as last year it ended with 6 straight defeats 17 of 18 losses. If you listened to me, you've made a lot of bank.
