Arizona State ranks 73rd in KenPom's rankings for adjusted offensive efficiency with 109.3 points per 100 possessions, and 130th on defense, allowing 100.4 points per 100 possessions. Their big strength has been in holding onto the ball, they rank sixth in turnover rate.

Washington Looking to Bounce Back From Tough Outing
Washington is not having a good year. They've been near the bottom of the PAC-12 rankings all season, and aren't really looking for a tournament spot at this point. After winning two of their three games last week with wins over Cal and Washington State, they hit a brick wall in Tempe, losing by 33 to the Sun Devils.
The Huskies were simply outmatched in every level of their last outing against ASU. They shot 36.9% from the field (average 41.5% on the year), 24.1% from three (32.8% on the year), and coughed up 16 turnovers. Offense has been an immense struggle for the Huskies, they rank 197th in KenPom's adjusted offensive rating, scoring 101.6 points per 100 possessions. They aren't much better on the defensive side of the ball, allowing 102.9 points per 100 possessions.

Arizona State isn't an excellent team, but are perhaps picking things up late in the season. Regardless, they seemed to take full advantage of the weak spots for this Husky squad.

The Illini are positioned and projected to make a deep run into this year's tournament. According to kenpom.com Illinois is 8th in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency with 118 points per 100 possessions. Another reason the Fighting Illini are one of the best teams in the nation is they are also 15th in adjusted defensive efficiency.

Ayo Dosunmu is nothing short of spectacular and had 31 points in the first game less than two weeks ago. Dosunmu has one of the best stat lines in college basketball with 21 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. Down low for the Illini is Kofi Cockburn who is a force to be reckoned with at 17.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. The 7'0" Sophomore from Jamaica has had a season high 33 points against Minnesota.

Cougars Cooling Off at the Wrong Time
Houston (18-3, 12-3) has enjoyed a fourth straight dominant season under Kelvin Sampson and they've established themselves as one of toughest teams in the nation. The Cougars ripped off a 7-0 start, that included non-conference wins over Boise State, South Carolina, and fellow in-state power Texas Tech. Following a one point road loss to Tulsa, they'd win eight more AAC games in a row. Despite that great start, a pair of road losses this month makes the Cougars a little hard to trust.
Yes, they avenged those losses with a 30-point win over Cincinnati, but this Western Kentucky team presents a size mismatch this rugged Houston defense hasn't seen yet.

The Cougars are led offensively by Quentin Grimes and Marcus Sasser. Grimes leads the team in scoring at 16.9 points per game, and he's second in rebounding (6.4), while Sasser scores 14.5 points per game. Senior guard DeJon Jarreau chips in 10.4 points per game, leads the team in assists (4.1), and he's third in rebounding (5.2). Justin Gorham is the man in the middle, and he'll have his hands full, but he averages an impressive 9.6 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Tramon Mark rounds out the starting lineup. All five Cougars average a steal per game, and they're second in the nation in points allowed at astonishing 55.9.
