Thinking about changing my user name to fade the book at this point. Fade my action today to become rich! B We had the right side as the pack were up 8 in the 4th and Virginia threw back to back picks. NC state was unable to capitalize and put them away.
Record NCAA
11-14 (-4.5 units)
Todays selections:
3 units Oregon -13.5 first half -120
I believe today is the day Colorado’s chariot turns into a pumpkin. Colorado can’t stop a wet paper bag on defense and Travis Hunter is out for a few weeks. Dan Lanning and the Ducks will look to make a statement today and jump out to an early lead with their crowd behind them. Take the Ducks -13.5 in the first half
3 units Alabama -7 vs Ole Miss -110
Everybody has left the tide for dead. The good news is that Nick has settled on a QB. I expect Bama to tailor the offense to more of what Milroe does well, RPO action, pound the rock, and hit shots over the top. Muffin has a track record of running his mouth and delivering disappointing results when under the microscope. I expect Bama to bounce back today. Take the tide -7.
2 units Rutgers +24 vs Michigan
Jim Harbough’s suspension is over and he returns to the sideline today. Michigan faces the same issue this year that Georgia faces—Their schedule is so east it’s hard to get up every week. Rutgers has looked decent to start the season. The Scarlet Knights are good on defense and play complementary football. I expect Michigan to do just enough to get out a comfortable lead and run out the clock. Take the points +24.
2 units Ohio st @ Notre Dame under 55.5 -110
The Buckeyes travel to south bend for a top 10 clash. Last year this was a low scoring defensive game. Sam Hartman has made the Irish a contender this year with his arm. The buckeyes are still breaking in a new QB and their defense looks improved so far this season. I expect both teams to look to control the game on the ground. This will a close, physical game to the end. Take the under 55.5
1 unit Rice -2.5 @ south Florida -110
Don’t look now but “food” has looked great with JT Daniels at QB. Rice’s offense has been high flying the last two weeks, and they hung with Texas for 3 quarters i. Week one. South Florida could not pull the upset last week against the tide. I expect them to be beat up this week and flat. They just are not good enough on offense to keep up. Take Rice -2.5
1 unit App st @ Wyoming under 44 -110
Wild things in Laramie, Wy. Both App st and Wyoming have looked impressive early in this season. We are expecting cool temperatures and 10 mile an hour winds tonight. It will be tough to move the ball through the air. I expect both teams to keep it on the ground and stay under the total with the running clock rules. Take under 44.

MLB record 15-12-1 (+3.97 units)
2 units Tampa Rays -105 @ Boston Red Sox
The rays enter tonight 2.5 games back from the O’s in the division. The Rays have a lot to play for and send Zach Eflin to the mound with a 15-8 record, 3.44 era, and whip of 1.03. Boston has given up on the season going 2-7 their last 10. Not only has their pitching struggled, but they are no longer scoring runs. Tanner Hauck takes the mound for the Sox with a 5-9 record, 4.92 era, and 1.35 whip. In his only start vs tampa hauck went 5 innings, gave up 4 runs, 4 walks, and 6 ks. Take the team with motivation and play Rays ML -105

MLB record 16-12-1 (+5.97 units)
Tonight’s selection:
2 units Cubs @ Braves over 9 -120
The Braves bats continue to pound HRs and they have a chance to break the single season record. The Achilles heel for the Braves is their starting pitching outside of Fried/Strider and their long relief. Tonight the Braves send long reliever Darius Vines who gave up 3 runs in 3 and 1/3 his last start. Their team era is a staggering 6.65 over their last 10 games. The cubs jumped out to a hot start last night up 6-0, but were chased down late 7-6. Tonight they send Taillon to the mound with a 8-10 record, 5.05 era, and whip of 1.35. Both Braves and cubs have team batting averages of .274 their last 10 games. The Braves are trying to close out home field advantage, and the cubs are still fighting for a wildcard spot. Don’t over think it and root for the runs tonight. Take over 9 runs.

MLB record 17-12-1 (+ 7.97 units)
The over 9 was not looking to good in the Braves/Cubs game. The cubs grabbed a 3-1 lead in the top of the 3rd, but then both pitching staffs shit down the bats until the bottom of the 7th. The Braves tied it in the bottom of the 9th 4-4 and pulled out a 6-5 win in 10 innings. Ba k later with tonight’s NCAA Football pick.

NCAA Record 15-15-1 ( +3.4 units)
1 unit Jax st -7 @ Sam Houston st
Sam Houston has been nothing less than awful since going the big boys. Their offense has averaged 3.3 points per game and an average of 145 yards a game. Their defense has been serviceable holding byu and air force at bay. Jax st has started out 3-1 so far this year, and their defense has produced 10 turnovers so far. My first instincts with this one was under, but with the total at 36 points that’s a tough ask. Perhaps the best bet is taking Sam Houston under 15.5 points, but there’s no value laying -165 juice. For value the best bet is playing jax st -7. There will be better plays on the weekend card. Play jax st -7 for 1 unit.

Saturday Selections:
3 units UGA -14 @ auburn buying half pt -120
Three months ago this line would have been 3 touchdowns. Georgia has won 15/18 meetings in this rivalry, and has this one circled as the official start of their season. Auburn is in full rebuild mode and their offense is 1 dimensional. Ashford and Thorne are equally incapable of throwing the ball consistently. They can both make plays with their legs, but Kirby is a master at shutting down what offenses do best. Auburns secondary is capable, but i worry about their depth on the lines of scrimmage. So far this year the Georgia of the last two seasons has not shown up, but if you look closely the signs are there. In their first 3 games Georgia moved the ball well between the 20s, but could not convert touchdowns in the red zone. Last week they were 6/6. In addition, UGA returns some key pieces this week: Receiver Ladd Mckonkey will debut and starters Williams and Bullard return from injury. The kicker is that in 2016 Hugh Freeze embarrassed Georgia as the ole miss coach in Kirby’s first year. I expect this one to be relatively close at the half and then Georgia will pull away as Auburn wares down. Look for the dawgs to make a statement. Lay the 14.
3 units USC -13 first half @ Colorado -110
We cashed Oregon in the first half last week with ease. The truth of the matter is that Colorado just doesn’t have the caliber of player on defense to hang with the Trojans. Travis hunter is still out, and defensive coordinators are beginning to figure out what the buffs are doing on offense. In addition, with all the hyp around Colorado they will get eta h teams full attention and best shot. Riley’s team is still trying to figure things out on defense, but Calib Williams and the offense will be able to do what they want in this one. I expect the Trojans to jump out early. I can see Colorado eventually moving the ball and scoring some points, so I rather take the first half line to avoid sweating a back door cover. Take USC -13 first half
2 units Alabama -14. @ Miss st buying half pt -120
As the season goes on Alabama is looking more and more like its typical self. Their defense played well against Ole miss, and now that Milroe is officially QB1 his confidence will continue to grow. Miss st lost a tough game in columbia last week. Miss st finally decided to throw the ball and Rodgers put to touchdowns on the board, but the defense they will face on Saturday will keep them bottled up all day. Bama just simply has the better athletes, and will pull away and cover in the 2nd half. Play Bama -14 buying the half point.
2 units Notre Dame @ Duke under 52.5
One has to wonder how flat the Irish will be after that tough 17-14 loss against the Buckeyes last week. Notre dame controlled the game from the start. It wast until the last minute that Ohio st pulled ahead. What was most impressive is that their defense shut down the Ohio st receiver core. On the flip side Duke has been rolling since their week one upset of Clemson as a 3 TD dog. In that game Duke focused on the run game and forces Clemson to throw it deep to beat them…and they couldn’t. I expect a similar game plan against the Irish…in fact, I think both teams will want to establish the run and control the clock. That’s fine by me with the running clock rules. The Irish have a tract record of dominance against ACC foes, so we will stay away from the spread. Take under 52.5 in a close physical game.
1 unit LSU -2.5 @ Ole Miss
The Rebels faded away last week as the tide physically beat them into submission in the second half. The scheduling gods did not do Ole Miss any favors with the Tigas coming to town. The Rebel offense is just no in sync and they are beat up at receiver. After their opening loss to the Noles, LSU has gotten on a roll winning 3 in a row. Their offensive line is playing better and Neighbors is on the short list for top receiver in the country. I think this one comes down to the fact that Ole miss can’t score enough to keep up. I think this game could be a replay of LSU at Miss st two weeks ago. Take LSU -2.5
1 unit South Carolina @ Tenn over 59.5
Spencer Rattler may be the best QB in the Sec this year. The cocks veils off Miss st in a shoot out last week. Spencer carved up the Tennessee defense last year and I expect him to find success again. The Vols bounced back last week after their loss to the Gators by putting up 500 tds of offense against Utsa. It sounds like the Vols will be getting 2 offensive linemen back this week including their center. Neither team has much of a defense so I expect both offenses to go up and down the field. With revenge on their minds the Vols will not let off the accelerator. Take over 59.5 points.

MLB record 17-12-1 (+7.97 units)
1 unit Phillies -1.5 runs +140 vs Miami
The Phillies find themselves in a familiar spot. Last year they got hot and made it all the way to the World Series. The marlins are young and should be happy they made the playoffs, but experience makes a difference. I expect the fish to be overmatched in game 1, and -1.5 runs gives us some good value compared to laying -150 on the ML. Take Phil’s -1.5 +140 in this value play.

MLB 18-12-1 (+9.42 units)
2 units Toronto Blue jays @ Twins under 8 -115
Sony Gray and Hose Berrios go to the mound in an elimination game for the Jays. The twins pitching shut down the young Jays lineup, and I expect a repeat tonight. Both Gray and Berrios pitched 5 innings and gave up zero runs against their opposing teams in the regular season. I expect this to be a tight game through out and the twins bullpen will keep this under the number. Take under 8 runs.

MLB 19-12-1 (+11.42 units)
Our hot streak on bases continued last night with the easy under 8 runs cash in the jays/twins game.
NCAA football 20-17-2 (+8.7 units)
Tonight’s selection:
1 unit Western Kentucky -6.5 @ La Tech
The Hill toppers bounced back last week beating middle Tenn convincingly 31-10. This is not the high flying west Kentucky of years past, but La tech’s defense can be taken advantage of through the air. La tech gave up 40 to N. Tex and 28 to Nebraska who can’t throw the ball. Austin Reed is improving and might be the best QB La tech has faced so far. I also think La techs defensive stats are a bit construed since FIU had no quarterback in week 1. Not ideal for the toppers to be on the road, but I think the only play here is to hold your nose and lay the 6.5. Take WK -6.5 -110

NCAA record 21-17-2 (+9.7 units)
Our hot streak continued last night. The Hilltoppers ran out to a 35-7 lead, but barely held on for a 35-28 win by the hook.
Tonight’s selection
1 unit Oklahoma st +11.5 vs Kansas st.
I know…I know… Oklahoma st has looked awful this season, but head coach Mike Gundy and the cow pokes have a tract record of performing their best in an underdog role. Mike Gundy has his back against the wall, and will pull out all the stops to keep this night game close. Especially considering Kansas st throttled the pokes 48 -0 last year. Kansas st has struggled against the spread on the road. Only managing a 21-25-1 ats road record with head coach Cris Klieman. Will it be pretty? No. Does K state have the better team? Yes….but revenge is a dish best served cold. Don’t be surprised if Gundy pulls to straight upset. Play OSU +11.5 for 1 unit.

Saturday Selections:
3 units Ohio st first half -10.5
The buckeyes got some needed rest after beating ND two weeks ago. After a slow start, McCord is finally building some chemistry with Marvin Harrison JR. , and Marvin is 100% recovered from an ankle injury. Maryland is 5-0 and Taulia T. has looked good this season. But the quality of opponent has gone up. Ohio st has owned this series overall, with an 8-0 record. I expect the bucks to come out strong, and the terps to play shaky early on the road. Take OSU 10.5 first half.
3 units Arkansas +13 at ole miss
Lowly Arkansas has lost 3 in a row, and Lane Kifdin is coming off one of his best wins of his Ole miss tenure. Lane has had the stigma of choking in the big game. I think this could be a natural let down spot off the big win. This series has been close with 5 out of the last 8 have been 5 points or less. Arkansas threw 6 inceptions last year. If KJ can limit the turnovers I expect the hogs to have a chance to win in the 4th. Ole miss pulls it out late but doesn’t cover. Take the hogs and the points.
2 units Cal ore st under 59
Oregon st came up big last week beating Utah at home in a low scoring, physical game. Now the Beaves have to go on the road, after upsetting a top 10 team, as a 7.5 favorite. Cal played well against a physical sec team in auburn that’s runs the ball well. Statistically these teams are very similar and balance between the run and pass. Strategically bth like to establish the run and sit on the clock. I don’t think cal has enough passing offense to win in the end, but their run defense is good enough to force DJ to beat them in the air. And on the road he has struggled in the past. Ore st wins a lower scoring game, take under 59 points.
2 units Uga -15 vs Kentucky
The dawgs let us down last week failing to cover at Auburn. In fact, they had to fight to win late in the 4th after going down 17-10 in the third after fumbling the opening possession. Brock Bowers took over the game and scored the winning touchdown. Auburns QB run scheme gashed the dawgs for over 200 yards. Kentucky on the other side is coming off a pounding of Florida at home. The wildcats flexed their running game muscle, and have to do so tomorrow to pull the upset. The dogs are 0-5 ats this year. All the logic says take the points…and that’s what Vegas wants you to do setting this line at -15. Kentucky doesn’t not utilize the Qb run, and Georgia has the athletes to run fit a more conventional running attack. So ask yourself, can Devin beat the dogs through the air a night in his first ever Road start in Athens. I think not. Take the dawgs -15
1 unit Arizona st +3.5 vs Colorado
The Buffs made it a game against the Trojans last week in the second half after USC raced out to a large halftime lead. The buffs lack of depth is catching up with them. Now they go on the road in the desert vs the Sun devils. Arizona st has a better defense, and has a track record of playing well as a home dog. Colorado has gotten out to a slow start the last few games. I expect them to get behind early again. And Asu’s defense does just enough to win outright. Take the devils +3.5
1 unit FSU first half -13.5
The Noles got the bud after coming back to beat Clemson. Although they are undefeated, the bikes do have some flaws. Virginia tech is a shadow of the bring your lunch pale Hoakies under Beamer. VT just doesn’t have the athletes they used to on defense.

NCAA Foots record 22-17-2 (+ 10.7 units)
Gundy got off the mat and pulled the SU win as a double digit dog. We stayed hot going 14-3-1 our last 18 (+ 25.6 units ) over the last 2 weeks entering Saturdays action. Looking on adding at least 1 mlb playoff play to the Saturday selections above.

MLB record: 19-12-1 (+11.42 units)
Playoff Selection:
2 units Atlanta Braves -1.5 runs vs the Phillies Even
The Braves open their playoff campaign at home vs the Phillies. Deja vu strikes as this is the same situation these teams faced last season. The Braves emptied the tank tracking down the Mets to win the division, and Philadelphia got hot, won the divisional series in 4 games, and rode that momentum to the World Series. After last years hard lessons, I expect the Braves to be extra focused, revenge minded, and to be feeding off their home crowd. The Braves will have to work to win this series, but will set the tone in game one behind the pitching of Spencer strider. Take the Braves -1.5 runs.
NCAA Football Selection Recap (write ups a few posts up):
3 units Ohio st First half -10.5 3 units Arkansas +13 @ Ole Miss 2 units Ore st/Cal under 59 2 units UGA -15 1 unit ASU +3.5 vs Buffs 1 unit FSU first half -13.5

Tonight’s selection
MLB:
2 units Astros @ Twins over 8
The defending champs have righted the ship after dropping game 1 of this series by winning the next two. The bats woke up and the stros gave the twins a 9-1 thumping last night. Both of these pitchers did not have the best stats this season. Urquidy was 3-3 with a 5.29 era and whip of 1.43. Ryan 11-10 with a 4.51 era and 1.17 whip. I expect the twins to play hard in this elimination game. In addition, home plate umpire, Visconti, has a 9.22 RPG average. Take the over 8 runs in this hard fought elimination game.
