While the Cubs should find success against Ray, the Giants may struggle to contribute enough offense to threaten this total. Chicago's bullpen has been excellent lately, posting a 3.20 FIP while limiting power, and San Francisco owns just a .157 ISO on the road this season.

Best bet MLB: Mariners ML -130.

The biggest concern here is Bryan Woo’s road splits, but I’m willing to overlook that against a Detroit team returning home after a long road trip and a recent offensive surge that may be masking some underlying issues. Woo still brings a dominant 0.96 WHIP and has been one of the more reliable strike-throwers in the American League, while Framber Valdez enters with a 4.39 ERA, a 1.32 WHIP, and has been far more vulnerable to traffic and big innings. Seattle also owns a significant bullpen edge, with one of the best relief units in baseball lately compared to a Tigers bullpen that has struggled to protect leads and suppress runs. Detroit has scored plenty over its last few games, but Seattle has been the more complete team with advantages in run prevention, power, bullpen depth, and overall recent form.

Dropping the first two games at home is a virtual death sentence in the Finals. The market heavily prices in desperation for teams in this exact position. San Antonio is highly motivated to protect home court before the series shifts to Madison Square Garden, making this their highest-urgency spot of the entire season.

Good value with Sonny Gray on the mound for the Sox. He’s 6-1, has a 3.06 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. Yankees also go with a good pitcher in Ryan Weathers. He’s 2-3, but a solid 3.52 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. In Grays last 6 games he’s given up no runs or one run in five of those games. Take the plus money.
