The 24-year-old right-hander allowed three runs and eight hits over 6 1-3 innings, striking out three and walking two. Cook made his first career start against San Francisco, surrendering three runs and nine hits over six innings but didn't figure into the decision of the Rockies' 4-3 loss. It was his lone career appearance against the Giants.
GIANTS PROBABLE STARTER: Rueter (5-1, 3.70 ERA). In 23 career starts against Colorado, Rueter is 9-8 with a 5.55 ERA and one complete game.
