Well, here go the predictions…

Eastern Conference

Atlantic – Pittsburgh - I do think they will struggle a bit this year with the long run into the playoffs last year but will persevere.

Northeast – Ottawa – I do like the Canadians chances but will stick with the Senators who have the offense but will need Gerber to be able to handle the pressure in goal

Southeast – Washington – Yes, they have Ovechkin but Theodore is going to need to do his thing in goal. Also a case of looking at the other teams and none jump out as dominating to me.


Western Conference – My Favorite Conference!

Central – Detroit – No reason not to go with them. They will dominate as always so not much else to say

Pacific – San Jose – They will take this division this season. Anaheim will be the closest competition for them but the Sharks will win out in the end. I like Nabokov over Giguere and just think that will be the difference in the end.

Northwest – Colorado – Warning – based on biases and personal feelings… The Canucks are my team and Luongo will be fine in goal but I just don’t know if they did enough to address the scoring. Demitra and Bernier can score, but also are injury risks. The Sedin’s can’t carry the team on their own. Edmonton has a good young team but I don’t believe they have enough to dominate the division. Give them another year or two. Calgary will be very strong this year and I wanted to pick them but my biases come into play here. The Wild could be another contender for top spot.

Eastern.

Atlantic – Pittsburgh - it wont be easy, but, i cant see them not taking this division as well poorboy.

Northeast – Ottawa – Gerber should do a good enough job to get them a great record but fall again in the playoffs, alex auld is a great backup as well, but no one i would take to the playoff with.

Southeast – Washington – same reasoning as poorboy.


Western Conference – My Favorite Conference!

Central – Detroit
Pacific – San Jose

Northwest – vacover
