I just think that with Smith and Mohhamed, that running game and that defense, spotting them over a tuchdown is a little much. I can see this being a blowout, but I'm willing to bet it won't be.

I am thinking just like you...
It's difficult to go against this high-flying Rams team on their own turf. After all, St. Louis won every game played here this season and outscored their visitors by an average score of 33-16. They went from the end of September until mid-December with just one loss to the rival 49ers, a span of 12 games. However, something about them just does not seem right. How does a team that needs to win their season finale to secure home field, drop a game in the Lions den to Detroit? It's inexcusable and not the way you want to enter the post-season. While the Panthers don't have the personnel on paper that the Rams have, they have the heart of their feline lineage. Carolina plays solid defense and that is crucial come playoff time. With a win under their belts, the Panthers have a quiet confidence about them as they focus on this game plan. That plan will include blitzing the heck out of Rams quarterback Marc Bulger and if the Lions game was any indication of how St. Louis defends the pass rush, it will be a long and ugly afternoon for the host. A good defense, a strong running game and limited mistakes is a proven playoff formula that keeps the Panthers close here.
