The baseball season starts for real tonight. Baltimore is one of my surprise teams to keep an eye on this year along with the Padres. Both these teams present good opportunities to steal some cash. So with that in mind I will give you my play and the reason why.
Boston has a host of injuries that include All-Star Nomar who is out for 3 weeks, Trot Nixon, 15day Dl, and Byung-Hyun Kim 15 day DL. On top of that, last year Pedro went 1-1 against the Orioles as an away starter. Guess what, the loss came in the Month of April. I believe this is a golden opportunity to steal some cash by betting on the opening day home dog.

Baltimore Orioles +1.5 +105 at Parbet
We have already seen that anything is possible in baseball, with Tampa's win to start the season against the mighty Yanks. Yes the Red Sox will be good, but the Orioles are going to be part of the mix with the Yanks/Sox.
Ponson is a tough gritty pitcher that will hold his own against a Sox club that is not at 100%. Throw in the weather factor, and that baltimore has had success vs Pedro, and the run line just makes sense here, not to mention that I am getting +money on top of it.

I agree with Freak. O's have the value today at +170. Run total should rise above 7.5 but wind with 40 mph gusts could hinder that.
