Here is today's opening race from Aqueduct to get our day off to a good start:

AQU Race 1 Clm $7,500N2L (12:30 ET)
#2 Carter's Store
#1 Haitian Sensation / #1a Turaath
#5 Jed Greeley
#6 Hank the Billymax

Analysis: #2 Carter's Store tries two turns for the first time here while dropping to the lowest tag of his career. Last out he dueled for the early lead and weakened to finish fourth, catching an inner surface that was playing to outside stalkers and closers. He sheds seven pounds off his last outing while picking up the bug Serpa and drawing the rail figures to be sent early. He will need to run a career top to pick up the win here but figures to be a decent enough price.

#1a Turaath has been a money burner, the beaten chalk in each of his last three starts, all against $25K non winners of two. He takes a plunge in price to the $7.5K level and looks like a standout in here. Cohen is also listed on his entrymate #1 Haitian Sensation so only one will go. The colt was second last out versus $10K non winners of two and was claimed out of the race by the Jacobson barn that is 14% winners first off the claim. The colt owns back numbers that are a good fit.

Wagering
WIN: #2 to win at 6/1 or better.
EX: 1,2 / 1,2,5,6
TRI: 1,2 / 1,2,5,6 / 1,2,4,5,6

Today's Featured Race of the Day from Aqueduct:

AQU Race 7 Clm $25,000B (3:20 ET)
#6 Catty Madeline 7/2
#7 Cherokee Gem 8/1
#3 High Lion 12/1
#1 La Vida Vino 5/2

Analysis: #6 Catty Madeline came up just a neck shy of beating $25K non winners of three last out at Philly in a game effort. The winner of that race was Spanish Luck, who was second versus $25K starter allowance company in her next start on Feb. 2. The Levine runner picks up Ramon here as she makes her third start of her current form cycle. She should be able to run this group down in the stretch.

#7 Cherokee Gem raced evenly last out in a fourth place finish versus $12.5K claimers and steps up in price while adding blinkers for her first go for the Baker barn. I don't like betting runners exiting the Dutrow barn but they often hold their form for one race at least. She makes her second start off a short break and figures to be a decent price in this spot.

Wagering
WIN: #6 to win at 5/2 or better.
EX: 6,7 / 1,3,6,7
TRI: 6,7 / 1,3,6,7 / 1,3,5,6,7

Live Longshots:
These are price plays for exotic players looking to find a couple of extra contenders to use in their trifecta and superfecta wagers. Or for those with smaller bankrolls, you might want to get in a small win-place wager.

Aqueduct
R1: #2 Carter’s Store 10/1
R1: #6 Hank the Billymaxx 15/1
R4: #1 Bo Bloviating 8/1
R7: #3 High Lion 8/1
R7: #3 High Lion 12/1
R8: #3 Mad Mambo 10/1

Good luck today!

#2 Mort's Legacy- closed fast in all three starts against better at Keeneland and here. He switches to the turf today and only 2 in here have raced on the grass before. This one is bred for the turf, adds blinkers and should have little trouble running by these.

#2 Silk Street- This one came over from England after he finished second in his first two tries. They used an English rider that just does not belong riding against the best here as he got this one in trouble several times. Trainer used a new rider on Monday, Sutherland, and they got the score together. She takes over the irons on this one and they will be a decent price.
