Here is today's opening race from Aqueduct to get our day off to a good start:

AQU Race 1 Clm $20,000 (12:30 ET)

#3 Basha's Moon 4/1
#4 Missile Motor 9/5
#2 Idaho Joe 3/1
#1 Eltish Star 5/1

Analysis: #3 Basha's Moon dueled for the early lead and finished gamely for the runner up spot, beaten two lengths for the top spot. The gelding has not seen the inside of the winners circle since '08 where he beat Alw-3 optional claimers at Laurel Park. The gelding does appear to be heading in the right direction form wise and has a sharp barn in his corner with Trombetta.

#4 Missile Motor has finished in the runner up spot three trips in a row versus $10K starter handicap foes. The gelding owns a solid pace profile throughout and the 14 time winner looks like he found a good spot here dropping back in for a tag. This guy will be tough if the track is wet today.

Analysis: #2 Rightly So is making her first start since wiring the field in the Luv Is Eternal Stakes back in November. The filly capped off her '09 campaign by winning five races in a row, the last pair stakes. She sports a couple of quick works on the morning tab and the barn is 32% winners with horses coming back off a 61-180 day layoff. She has already won off the bench and the Tony D. barn should have her ready to fire off the bench again today. She is bred to like a wet track and won her lone start on off going.

#5 By the Light checked in third last out in a state bred stake going two turns and I like the cut back to a sprint here as she makes her third start since returning off nearly a six month layoff. She has a couple of wins on the inner and has a 6 for 11 mark at today's distance. The barn is 35% winners (with a +ROI) moving runners form route to sprint.
