Let's not waste time and get right to it:

1. Indianapolis - Sure they lost in week one and are 2-1 but I think that loss was actually a good thing. Think of the pressure they've had the last few years starting undefeated. I think they can play loose and all that attention won't be following them every week. Collie is going to have a bust out year. Only concern for me is the defense. Orton threw for 475 but yet they only gave up 1 td and 2 fg's. Houston threw all over them as well. So that's a concern but if they keep winning it doesn't matter. They play at Jax next.

2. Atlanta - Are you surprised? They lost in week 1 to Pittsburgh in an ugly sort of game but bounced back and smashed the Cardinals and then won at the defending SB champs home. They have a scary defense and if the offense can continue to do ball control type tactics they are going to have a big season. They will go as far as Ryan will take them. They have SF next who is desperate for a win.

3. Chicago - I know they should be 2-1 losing to the Lions, like it or not it was the right call. They took care of business against the Packers on Monday night and I like this team. They have a lot of potential and the defense appears to be healthy. We shall see how far they progress as they have a tough road game at the Giants. I respect this team a lot.

4. Pittsburgh - Off to a 3-0 start without Big Ben and they have done it with defense against Atlanta at home and then on the road at TN and TB. You have to give this team their due and it's scary to think what will happen when Big Ben is back at the helm. They have the Ravens at home which is always a slugfest and if they can win this game and start 4-0 and have the bye in week 5, they may go on a big long winning streak to start the season.

5. NY Jets -- They lost a tough one to start the season against Baltimore and responded with a tough win at home against New England and then Monday at Miami. That's tough to do. They have a solid defensive unit and if the offense becomes consistent and Sanchez blossoms watch out. LT and company will go far this season. Jets play at Buffalo this week.

Teams on the rise -- Kansas City and Seattle......

I know people are thinking where's New England, where's New Orleans. I haven't been impressed with either. The Pats should have hammered Buffalo on Sunday and never put the game away. Saints have looked ordinary against the Vikings at home, didn't look so hot against SF and lost at home to Atlanta. Both the Jets and Falcons are very deserving to be in the top 5.
