1. Ohio State -- Inherits the #1 spot after Alabama goes down in flames to South Carolina. Ohio State had a good showing against Indiana and believe their toughest challenge to date comes this coming Saturday at Wisconsin. Get past this game and it's clear sailing until Iowa.

2. Oregon -- Not the super blowout over Washington State but the Cougs have slowly improved and have put up a bit more of a fight as of late. Oregon gets the week off before hosting UCLA. If Ohio State fails at Wisconsin meet your new #1.

3. Boise St. -- Easy win over Toledo and up next another scrimmage as they play at San Jose St. No real challenges until November 26th at Nevada. Question is will they be #1 by then?

4. TCU -- Just like Boise another scrimmage this time vs Wyoming. Next up BYU at home and I can see another ass whipping taking place. No real challenge until November 6th at Utah. Could they be #2 by then?

5. Nebraska -- They get the nod over Oklahoma and take on a rested Texas at home. Love the combination of QB/RB and if they can stay the course, they could be in the title picture before all is said and done.

Alabama drops out all the way and after that pitiful performance at South Carolina I can't place them in the top 5. It will be interested to see what the polls do with Bama after a lot of quality wins this weekend by other teams. I was ahead of the curve moving Oregon over Boise last week and don't expect to see Bama in the top 5 either. Call me a trendsetter.
