My strategy is simple: I'll Have Another is my top pick, but I will play both I'll Have Another and Creative Cause to win, keying each one on top in the exotics. In the trifecta, Union Rags will be included in second spot with 10 horses on the bottom.

My synopsis on the Derby.

Kentucky Derby #138...Post time 5:24 cst on the 1st Saturday of May.
They say that "The winner comes out of the Wood". Today is no exception. My top pick is Gemologist, unbeaten in 5 races and last 4 on dirt. Finished 1st in both tries on the same track last fall. This horse knows how to win. Beyers improving each and every race. Has the stamina to get the job done.
I'll go with Daddy Nose Best for 2nd. One of only 4 horses with a 100 or more Beyer. Although I'm not a fan of him coming out of Sunland, (sorry Mine that Bird), he did race at Churchill last fall and won. This horse is a jouneyman that is peaking right now. Doesn't suck to have the best jockey aboard either.
Union Rags did not give his best effort in the Florida Derby. I'm thinking Matz just wanted to keep him fresh and not use him up. Got beat by a head to Hansen in the Juvenile last fall at this same track. Wouldn't be surprised if this horse wins it.
Other horses I'm considering for nice prices are, Alpha (who ran 2nd to Gemologist), Creative Cause, who finished 3rd to Hansen and Union Rags in the Juvenile. Has registered a 102 Beyer 2 races back and lost by a nose to I'll Have Another in the San Anita Derby. I'll also try Sabercat, who might catch them all deep in the stretch.
