First weeks are tough, but I have to give the edge to NE here.
NE's offense looked good in the pre-season (the starters that is) and they should shred LA's D. The pats will take moss out of the game and see if Kerry Collins will be able to go elsewhere. Knowing KC, he'll be lobbing it at Randy even when he shouldn't and I expect at least 2 INT's.
NE wins by at least 10.
