I don't like to look at the series standings. In a head to head matchup, I'll take Clemens over Smoltz. Both pitchers are good, but Clemens has just been awsome, esp. in the playoffs.

dodge, food for thought, Smoltz is 14-4 lifetime in playoffs. Happens to be the best and winningest MLB pitcher in playoff history. Again, just FFT and smoltz never gets run support. his era in playoffs is around 2.3 ERA

I'm dropping 2 dimes on the Padres today. Ballsy play I know, and when I post my key selections they often go down in a ball of fire, but I did see alot of "fiestyness" in SD last game when the could have easily thrown in the towel. Also, with the runs they put on against the cards late last game, they had a chance to see the Cards Bull Pen. Hard to believe SD had the tie and go ahead run at the plate in Th after spotting the cards 8-0.

Nobody is giving the Pads a chance today. (I like that) I also don't think the Pads will continue hitting into double plays as they did in game one!

Pads earn a split and head home? I'll bet on that.....

the kings have won every home opener in the last 4 years..actually five years if you count the lockout [Frown] . talentwise again. the kings should prevail on that alone. the kings dont really have a #1 goalie on thier roster with garon, and labarbera on thier roster. i personnaly think labarbera is a better pick and he will get the start at home today. and after last nights collapse in dallas the kings will win no problem.
