Entries open July 1.

Anyone interested in putting a team of five together.

Cost is

$300 each to enter the contest.
$50 each for the proxy
$60 in expenses to send me to Vegas to enter and pay the proxy.

Total cost $410.

The $300 is self explanatory.

The $50 for the proxy is for the person we would pay to go enter our selections in for us each and every week. They would go down to the Hilton and enter our selections on our behalf. This is way cheaper than sending me there every week because I don't even think I could do it every week if I wanted to. I know a trusty proxy that has done this service for years. Their deal is $250 up front and if you win they want 10% of the winnings. Which is standard and a basic tip that should be given on any winnings.

The additional $60 is to cover my expenses to drive to Vegas to enter us into the contest and pay the proxy. That would cover gas, a tank both ways which is $60 each fill up and to pay for me to stay a night somewhere and eats. No I will not be gambling while there. Enter the contest, pay the proxy and get us set up.

I would be one of the five. So four slots are open.

I want to get this done straight away and not wait til late as you can be part of the early bird $10,000 contest that is held the last three weeks of the season.

We would hold a weekly conference call to go over our selections and to confirm our entry for the week.

I am in for the win, even if we don't get 5 I would be willing to split what ever the breakdown is. Also would like to get my own entry but I am on the east coast and wont be able to get to vegas before deadline, had a friend who did it for me last year but he has moved to florida

Hi there. I signed up for this site a LONG time ago. Rarely check the boards, but have started to get back into things. But, I digress. Anyways, I would be very interested in the last spot. Do you guys have historical records or data since you have done this in the past? I would like to do due diligence and vet things before committing. Let me know? I am happy to answer any and all questions, and would hope the rest of the group would do the same...

Not sure if makes a difference, but I will be in Vegas this coming week. Should things progress, I would be happy to save everyone a few $ so that Freak doesn't have to fly to Vegas to sign up. Obviously, I am a total stranger, but will be happy to ease any concerns and relay any personal/work contact information anyone desires.

I will answer in reverse. I replied to your question regarding name change, just answer in your original post what you like your name changed to and I will take care of it pronto for you.

I appreciate your offer since you will be in Vegas this year, I will be the one to put the entry in. I can likely speak for the others, they have entered my Bad Man contest in the past and have trust with me. Take no offense to that, I am sure you understand where I am coming from here.

As far as their being any historical records for our entry into the Hilton Super Contest, this will be our virgin entry. Something that has been talked about for quite some time but appears to be a reality this year. Finally!

I can tell you what I know about Brick, Executioner and Commish. They are solid handicappers. Brick finished 3rd in Bad Man last year, Executioner Sports finished 2nd in 2010 and I have won it once, finished 2nd twice and third twice. The Commish had his virgin broken last year entering the contest for the first time. He runs a private contest and I have played in it the last three years and he is always near the top of the standings. His contest is a bit tougher than the Hilton because it requires 7 selections against the spread. I tied for first in it last year after finishing second the year prior.

Not that past performance is an indication of future performance but I am quite comfortable that these gentlemen have stepped forward to be a part of the team.

Some quick snippets about me. I've been "investing" on sports longer than I would like to remember. Haven't done a NFL spread picking contest in a few years though. But, would consider it as the LVH Supercontest grows in popularity each year. After getting a tweet, I saw the entry fee was "only" $1500. Thought to myself, Hmmmm, that may be worthwhile. Then I got your email in my inbox re: Bad Man and the Supercontest. Why it didn't go to spam I'm not sure. Anyways, perused the site again, and now am thinking everything over.

Honestly, what the heck. COUNT ME IN for the Supercontest. I have a busy, yet variable work schedule, so hopefully the consensus picks can be done via email or text (if a conference call does not work).
