OP FREAK Owner Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 282,864 Likes: 3124 Time to play the Game	Northwestern St +4 over Winthrop<P>To me this is an early tournament gift.<P>Let's examine the two teams shall we....<P>First Winthrop<P>They lack a big time scorer but led their league in scoring defense. They certainly don't have much height. Yes it's true they have been here before and they are coming off an upset of the top seed in their conference championship. They finished the season 17-12 and had the 283rd hardest schedule in the country. Recently though they played the tougher part of that schedule.<P><BR>Northwestern St<P>They are as hot as any team in the tournament. They won seven of their last eight games, and their three conference tournament wins came against teams that had swept them in the regular season. They as well have no height, along with having a true center and they only have two players, who average double-figure scoring.<P>They finished the season at 18-12 and had the 269th hardest schedule, and down the stretch they as well played a little bit tougher schedule thatn the season would indicate.<P>So we have a staunch defense vs a team that doesn't have a big scoring punch.<P>The bookmakers say ok we make the line 4, noone will know what to do with the game, so there it stays after 2 days at Winthrop -4.<P>It is a ugly game to choose from, but what do you expect....<P>Expect Northwester St to win outright tonight in a closely played low scoring affair.<P>
