i love cal-irvine +12 over tulsa. these two teams are not that much different in talent and there is no way this line should be double digits. irvine has been a moneymaker all year and they will at least cover this spread with a chance of an outright win. might be worth throwing something small on the moneyline too!!

Haven't been around the last few days, but hopefully I'm back today with a winner<P>I'll throw down on Cal Irvine on the moneyline. Tulsa just lost to a Hawaii team on their homecourt and I think The Anteaters have something to prove too the NCAA tonight. Minnesota -1 1/2 over Villanova<P>In the consensus area everyone but me has picked Villanova up until I posted just now.<P>This game happens to be the only game I like on the entire NIT board.<P>Let's examine further shall we.<P>Villanova 18-12 50th rated schedule in NCAA. Did you know that Villanova's schedule was harder than any Big East team that made the tournament. The highest rated schedule was Providence at #64. Villanova was 0-1 vs Top 10 rated schedules and 2-5 vs top 30.<P>Minnesota had the 36th hardest schedule in 2000. The teams that made it to the tournament from this conference only 1 had a lower rated schedule than Minnesota and that was Ohio State at #47.<P>Minnesota was 0-3 vs Top 10 and 2-9 vs top 30 overall.<P>Now the comments were the Big 10 was overrated, they had the 3rd best conference this year while the Big Least came in 6th.<P>Big 10 sent 7 teams to the dance, Big Least 5.<P>Strange to see the lowest rated team to make it in from the Big 10 was ranked 47th, while the highest from the Big Least was 64th...<P>So while the Big Least beat up on Cupcake U, the Big 10 went out and played much better competiton.<P>Seton Hall was disposed of last night, and oh yes the comeback was impressive, as I picked Seton Hall to cover, and that's what they did. Alabama gave em the back door cover.<P>Look for the Gophers to play well at home tonight, and see the Wildcats of Villanova be tamed like the weak cats they truly are..<P>Take Minnesota -1 1/2 over Villanova

PITTSBURGH -5 over St. Bonaventure<P>The Panthers are very excited about hosting a post-season game and they qualify in a solid 44-19 ATS NIT opening round situation. Pitt has covered 6 straight home games against teams that did not make the NCAA Tournament, so they can certainly handle the Bonnies tonight. The Panthers have also been playing improved basketball lately and losing by 22 points to Boston College in the Big-East tile game actually is a positive for them here as NIT home teams coming off losses of 20 points or more are 13-3 ATS the last 10 years. <BR>
