As you know for nearly 20 years I have been an advocate for player safety when it comes to offshore wagering.
I have seen many books come and go over the last twenty years and I wouldn't be staying true to myself nor serving the members and visitors of this forum any justice if I didn't make the following move.
As of this post, I will not be supporting 5 Dimes in any sense. I will not be recommending them and right now I am telling players to steer clear of this sportsbook. If you have funds in the sportsbook I would suggest you cash out and go elsewhere.
The reasoning behind this is due to recent rumors/whirlwinds that unfortunately appear to be coming true.
http://www.costaricantimes.com/the-...osta-ricas-5dimes-sportsbook-grows/45272I have no inside information or sources there but it would be prudent to heed the warning. If things blow over and it turns out to be much ado about nothing, then I will revisit looking to recommending them and supporting them in the future.
However in the clear present, I can't do that. This isn't meant to scare anyone or put panic that you can't get your money, however it would be smart to get out front of this and get your money now than either be slow payed or not paid at all.
These are very serious allegations put forth not only from the Government of Costa Rica but now the US is involved. Once the US got involved it has changed the dynamics of the situation.
We all know what happened to poker rooms on Black Friday and if you recall the Bet On Sports fiasco where a lot of money went up in smoke.
I am only recommending Intertops and Bovada at this time and a slight nod to Wagerweb.
Any questions, comments, please fire away.
Just remember the old adage where there is smoke, there is fire. There is a ton of smoke right now.
You can't say I didn't warn you.
