If you’re skipping Bad Man or Three and Out, that’s your choice, but let’s be honest, not everyone is built for pressure, accountability, or competition. Some people are born to be spectators, background noise, the guy in the group photo nobody remembers. Bad Man is for people who can pick five games without melting down, and Three and Out is for people who can stand on a Sunday island with one pick and say they’re built for it. If that’s too much heat, then pull up a lawn chair and enjoy the view while the grown‑ups compete. Just understand that when trophies come out, when bragging rights get handed down, when legends get written, your name won’t be anywhere near the page. You’ll be the footnote, the asterisk, the guy who almost joined. And that’s fine not everyone is built for the arena. Some people are built for excuses. ....

Well, for the few of us who enjoy hockey, there is real hockey being played. The World Junior Championships always provide great hockey. It showcases the players before they get 'tainted' by the NHL and smothered by all the clutching and grabbing and the 'trap' that happen in the NHL.
It is being played in Grand Forks, North Dakota and Thief River Falls (?), Minnesota, so if any of you live in those areas, go check out a game.
Canada is off to it usual great start (2-0) and hopefully will follow it through in the medal round. The USA is 1-0 so far.

The US did not have a good tournament. I expected them to do a lot better. Even with the loss to Belarus, which was shocking, and the loss to the Czechs, they could have redeemed themselves by beating Russia (who they beat in the preliminary round), but got smoked in that game.
Canada has been to the final game in the previous 3 years and lost. This will be a great game tonight (Russia has a pretty good offensive team) but it should be Canada's time to shine.

great game? I was hoping for one....too bad Canada had to blow em out like everyone else.

This team has to rank up there with best WJC teams ever with the way they blew everyone out each game of the tourney.
