Let me welcome JimO and firstar, I hoep you enjoy the forum, and I think I can speak for the rest, we look forward to your contributions.
Some very excellent write ups on Monday, sometimes all the trends and stats don't end up helping you. Case in point Oaklnd, everything and I mean everything pointed to them winning the game. Alas the line I saw before gametime was -180. Even the bookies were sliding the line up.
One piece of advice I hang out this time of year, is that the public will drive the hot teams and the playoff teams up. It is hard to make a buck over the rest of the season. It can be done, but you need to pick and choose accordingly.
Helpful tips from da FREAK
Good Luck today, great turnout, keep em coming, by the way let's talk football as well !!! Has anyone seen the countdown on the main page ?? Cool stuff eh !!!
By the way if you want a good laugh, read the Headline News on California. Let it sit in your background for a few moments. I got a little surprise for ya..
FREAK

Yes those A's really blew it last night they left more men on base than a Singapore cat house goes through in a weekend! Oh well that's the way the cookie crumbles.na (Wright)
Going with the visiting Phils here they have returned to early season form and face a team that is in a downward spiral with a coach that doesn't have a clue!
The Phillies send O Daal to the hill who has lost his last 3 but that was because of no run support more than anything else but now the Phillies are hitting and scoring again the lack of run support will change today against a very poor hitting Brewers team.na ERA of 2.na is 13-17 as a home dog, 45-65 on grass, 27-33 at home, 27-43 at night and 7-11 against lefties batting a very pitiful .167 against them in their last 10.
Two solid bullpens here with the Brewers available pen being used an awful lot they have pitched 23 innings in their last 3 games and have 4 relievers that are on no days rest, the Phillies available pen has only gone 13.1 ERA of 3.37 in their last 3 games and have all but 2 relievers that are on 2 or more days rest.
Bottom line is the Brewers are a very poor hitting team and are horrible at home at night they have a coach that belongs in the minors in my opinion he makes bad decisions that not even a little league coach would mess up and face a team that is in a fight for first and look like they are aware of it now!
Play Philadelphia -135

Playing the Pittsburg Pirates @ +280, jumped off the card on me. (usually a bad sign) Figure one of the two "large" puppies will be howling tonight...
Schill has been dominate this season (ARI is 20-6 when Schilling starts) but I'm hoping Pitt. can scratch and crawl and hang around in this one. Pittsburg rookie starter williams will be fresh, he lost on Friday vs. SDiego, allowing 3 runs and 6 hits in 4 innings, his shortest start of the season. The kid has signs of greatness on a less than avg. team.

Hopefully Pittsburg will sting the bullpen late.....
Pitt. +280
Got ballS? most don't.....
Best of luck to ya.

phillies -135 over milwaukee...........omar daal is way overdue for a win after a fantastic start. phillies playing great ball right now. after falling behind the braves by three games, they now find themsselves ahead by two. lets see if the have that killer instinct to put away the braves.
great writeups yesterday, but i am not a huge believer in stats and trends.

Angels -130
The past 7 home games the Detroit Tigers have scored only one run SIX TIMES!! That's awful.
Meanwhile, the Angels are making a playoff push. Ismael Valdes has been pitching well since coming off the disabled list and they have a good closer in Troy Percival. Steve Sparks was hammered last outing and against Angels earlier this year.

My POD today is a parlay
Arizona -300 / Tampa Bay +260
1 unit pays back 3.8
Obviously Arizona has Schilling on the mound and he has been dominating. I have Schilling on my only fantasy team, and see him pitch quite often. He should have no problems tonight with the pesky Pirates. This is the kind of game he will scatter many hits, but "k" a lot of people. I look for Arizona to win it late.
Now with Tampa your saying Freak it's Roger Clemens... yes it is Roger Clemens, heis the first baseball card I actually paid for that didn't come out of a pack. A topps RC. The D-Rays are playing their best ball of the year, and actually had the lead on Pettite last night through 5 innings. They gave Clemens a tough time down in Tampa last time he faced them. Wilson although not anywhere near Clemens record or era for the season, actually has a beeter record and era the last 3 out. This to me merits a strong look.
Rather than put $1500 to win $500 on Arizona and put $500 to win $1300 on Tampa and have that chance to lose both. I Would rather parlay it in this spot. Less risk and a greater reward.
Definitely worth a shot.
Good Luck

going with the sf giants tonight -155 at home.
not going to quote any trends tonight ![[Linked Image from freaksforum.com]](https://freaksforum.com/images/icons/smile.gif) . Ortiz pitching well, should keep fish at reasonable run count, sf hitting speaks for itself.
good luck
