The Oklahoma State Cowboys shoot to remain unbeaten when they wrangle with the Texas Longhorns Saturday afternoon in Stillwater. OSU trails the all-time series with UT 25-9, but it’s trying to make a dent in that deficit, winning seven of the last ten meetings.

This week’s college football betting odds opened OSU at -3 over Texas, with an over/under of 58. Early betting action then added a hook to that spread and edged that total up to 58.5.

Texas is off to a 3-2 start to this season, after beating Baylor in Austin last week 27-16. The Longhorns spotted the Bears the first three points of the game, then used a 13-0 run to take a 10-point lead into halftime. Texas then drove the opening possession of the third quarter 75 yards to a touchdown to take control and hung on from there for the victory.

However, the ‘Horns allowed Baylor to score two otherwise meaningless touchdowns in the fourth quarter, resulting in a push of the spread as 11-point favorites.

On the day, Texas out-gained the Bears 429-316 and out-rushed Baylor 159-64. So the Longhorns have now out-gained and out-rushed three of their five opponents this season.

Texas started 2-0 this season with wins over UTEP and Texas Tech, but then lost back-to-back games to TCU and Oklahoma, both as favorites on the betting line. And the ‘Horns got out-played both those games.

Texas is playing against a season wins over/under of 7.5 for this season.

Oklahoma State, meanwhile, is 4-0 on the season after fighting off Iowa State last week 24-21. The Cowboys spotted the Cyclones the first seven points of the game, then scored touchdowns on two of their next three possessions to lead 14-7 at the half. OSU then gave up a 66-yard Iowa State touchdown early in the third quarter that tied the game but immediately answered with a TD of its own, later added a field goal and hung on from there for the victory and the cover as 2.5-point favorites.

On the day, the Cowboys out-gained the Cyclones 461-389, rushing for 226 yards on 51 carries. OSU also allowed 227 ISU rushing yards on 33 attempts, although 136 of those yards came on two plays.
The Cowboys have out-gained two of four opponents this season and out-rushed three of four foes.

Oklahoma State opened this season with a lackluster win over Tulsa, whiffing ATS as a 24-point
favorite. But the Cowboys have since covered 5.5 points against West Virginia, 21.5 against Kansas, and the 2.5 against Iowa State.

OSU is playing against a wins O//U of seven this season.

Oklahoma State beat Texas four times in a row from 2015-’18, but the Longhorns won last year’s meeting 36-30. Texas trailed that game 23-21 well into the third quarter, then scored the next 15 points for the win. However, the Longhorns allowed the Cowboys the score a TD with a minute and a half to go to give away the cover as seven-point favorites.

Also, that game played under a total of 72 points.

Texas may own the edge offensively, but Oklahoma State owns the edge on defense. In fact, this might be OSU’s best team in a decade. Oklahoma State is chasing its first-ever berth in the Big 12 championship game, and with a couple of big battles coming up, they’ll probably need this one to get there.

Ole Miss is coming to the game here with a 1-4 record overall. However, the Rebels did give Auburn a run for their money in the last game. The Rebels ended up losing the game by a 35-28 score and looked impressive in the loss, which was expected, but with Ole Miss keeping the game close it was very impressive in how they managed to win.

The passing offense for Ole Miss has ended up going 107/157 for a total of 1403 yards. The Rebels did throw for 12 touchdowns and 9picks. Rushing the ball for Ole Miss ended up with 244 carries for 1102 yards. The Rebels have managed to get 12 touchdowns on the ground this year. Defensively the Ole Miss team has managed to record 9 sacks, but still is stuck at 2 picks.

When it comes to running the ball Vanderbilt has ended up with 114 carries for 334 yards and no touchdowns. Vanderbilt has struggled offensively on the year and do not look like their offense will get going anytime soon. The defense for Vanderbilt has not been that much better . Ole Miss has an offense that should definitely do better than what the Vanderbilt team does

Mississippi are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games.
Mississippi are 1-6 SU in their last 7 games.
Vanderbilt are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games.
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Vanderbilt's last 5 games.

Louisiana Monroe has struggled almost all year. In fact, the Warhawks are coming to this game here still looking for their first win on the year and are sitting on an 0-6 record so far. The Warhawks in their last game played against the South Alabama team and ended up losing by a 38-14 score.

Colby Suits led the Warhawks passing attack. Suits ended up going 22/33 for 282 yards with a touchdown, but also ended up getting picked off once in the game. Rushing for the Warhawks ended up getting only 28 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown. Defensively the Warhawks collapsed giving up 246yards in the air and 3 touchdowns, but did get one pick in the game. The rushing defense did not do much better giving up 169 yards and a touchdown on only 44 carries.

The Warhawks struggles have been real on the year and definitely are not going to improve anytime soon.
The Monroe to be able to move the ball a little bit better, but the defense for the Warhawks will collapse again as Appalachian State has an offense

Appalachian State are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.
Appalachian State are 9-1 SU in their last 10 games.
Louisiana-Monroe are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games.
The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Louisiana-Monroe's last 7 games.

Virginia Tech is heading to this game after being handed a loss by Wake Forest. The loss came at a score of 23-16 and it showed that the Hokies were unable to keep pace with the Demon Deacons and facing a stronger team would make it quite a bit harder for the Hokies. The Virginia Tech team dropped to a 3-2 record on the year.

Hendon Hooker led the Hokies for the passing game while going 17/33 for 223 yards. Hooker did throw 1 touchdown, but was picked off 3 times. The rushing offense for Virginia Tech carried the ball 43 times for a total of 210 yards. When playing defense the Hokies gave up 110 yards in the air. Rushing defense for Virginia Tech was horrible giving up 206 yards and 2 touchdowns while facing only 49 carries.
