seattle -280 over tampa bay<P>sele pitching for mariners tonight at home vs a horrible tampa bay team, however they are playing better as of late. no way seattle loses again to them after losing last night.

Tampa Bay (Rupe/Sele) +1.na got the loss but remember pitchers on average last 5.5 innings Seattle is 3-7 in Sele's last 10 starts. I am not saying that Tampa will win but anytime I can get a team that is playing as hard as these Rays are at +1.5 runs and positive odds I will take it. I live 2 hours north of Tampa and follow this team and have won on them in the right spots as a big dog and if you look back just a couple weeks they were down 10-5 in the bottom of the 9th to Baltimore and came back and won. Just a little food for thought as this team is young and will not quit so be careful laying the big wood against them in the later part of the season.

Mets -120<P>The Phillies are choking bigtime and they need a well pitched game to break out of their slump. Don't see young hurler Coggin coming through for them. He has been hit hard the last three outings with a WHIP of 1.83. <P>The Philles young starters have done well but you just get the feeling they are going to collapse in September. Having an Over ump (Jerry Lane, 16-10 overs ) doesn't help the rookie 2nite.<P>Mets are now playing solid baseball with return of 2b Alfonso. Lieter appears to be hitting his stride with an very strong WHIP of 0.91 last 3 games. I give the Bullpen edge to the Mets too.

Diamnodbacks(Schilling) -130<BR>Schilling is 2-1 with a 3.43 ERA in three starts against the Giants this season. Schilling made his only start at Pac Bell on July 21 and allowed just one hit over seven scoreless innings to notch a victory. Russ Ortiz has lost his last two starts. He surrendered 10 earned runs over 13 innings. He is 0-1 in his last three outings at Pac Bell. Ortiz made his only start against the Diamondbacks this season at Bank One Ballpark and lost, giving up five runs and eight hits in five innings.<BR>
