September 27th, 2001<BR> <BR> NY Mets Chen -150<BR> Montreal Ohka<BR> <BR> The NY Mets complete their three game series against the Expos tonight, as they prepare for a showdown in Atlanta over the weekend.<BR> <BR> The Mets are playing some of the best ball currently in the bigs. Coming into tonight's game, they have secured victories in 17 of their last 20 games, and are getting clutch performances from almost all of their key players.<BR> <BR> Left-hander Bruce Chen will get the call tonight for the Mets. Chen has been one of the most effective Mets pitchers during their recent hot streak. The Mets have won 6 consecutive starts by Chen, including 5 starts against teams with winning records. Although he hasn't been completely sharp, the Mets have supported their pitcher as much as has been necessary. Three of the six game winning streak in Chen starts have been by one run. <BR> <BR> The Expos are now 5-11 in what has been a 16 game homestand. They haven't been effective as they have not been able to have good performances out of their pitchers and hitters on the same night. Tomokazu Ohka will start tonight's game for Montreal. <BR>The Expos are 3-5 in Ohka starts since arriving from the AL. The Expos have failed to score a single run in two of those starts. They are only 1-4 in his starts in Montreal, finally winning against the Rockies in his last start.<BR> <BR> With everything being on the line for the Mets, I see a solid performance coming from them again tonight.
