arkansas +10 over alabama (best bet)......it looks like alabama is up to its old tricks, even with a new coach. can't cover the spread while favored. this is another boring, 6-3, 10-7 type of game. both teams will try to run the ball, using alot of clock and neither team should be able to pull away by 10 points in this one. once again, bama wins, but doesn't cover!!

Giants -120<P>SF can't afford to let up now. They're still 2 games out with Zona starting Big Unit and Schilling this weekend against the sinking Dodgers.<P>Padres starter Boddy Jones has been consistantly hitable all year. ugggg,,lllyyy week....>><P>Alot of talk up here in NE PA where the rabbid PSU fans still believe the Lions have a chance. Joe Pa is doing his usual "were not that good" <BR>playing possum speal. Joe pa said he feels this is his teams "second pre-season game" with all that has been going on. One thing I notice are the football players seem very confident. Hard workouts this week and a ton of leg sprints to get into game day conditioning. Expect if PSU pulls this one off the'll need a much better performance out of their defense. Being a PSU grad I can tell you the alumni are still very excited about todays game and season. Players are taking the Miami game in stride stating Joepa told them it was a 1st half / 2nd half game and PSU won the 2nd half. Maybe some serious psychology smack from joe since Mimami call off the dogs at the half as the penalties mounted in the 3 & 4th quaters on them. <P>I like PSU here simply cause I have a hard time beliving Joe Paterno & Co. will have 2 dissapointing seasons in a row. PSU has tradtionally been one tough place to play, the crowd is just begging to get into a game (PSU was 5-7 last year, 4 of those wins were at home, 5-2 in 99 at home). What I'm getting at is PSU although not as talanted as past teams, still have this thing with Home Field. <P>Give the fans what their begging for PSU.....a game! If PSU should keep it close look for the wild bunch of fan to play the 12th man role. <P>PSU -1 <P>Best of luck to ya.

MEMPHIS-7<BR>south florida had a great upset win over pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago and they'll still be high, but memphis has a great defence and they'll shut s. florida down. i look for for a double diget victory. if you like trends. play on Memphis their second home game of the season (8-3 since 1984)
