Talk about the Phillies here

i am a huge phillies fan!! can anybody in here give me some more info on this young and talented team. anybody live near philly with some insight that others may not have? i am dying for the regular season to start!

Jmark, I too am a huge phily fan. Phily fans<BR>are excited and everyone's talking about the new season ahead. New coach former player Larry Bowa expect big things from his young team. Phils offence should be very explosive<BR>with the addition of Burrell (called up mid season last year) Locals in Scranton think he's the real deal. Pat should give some protection to Rolen (at the plate) who still hasn't peaked yet. Anyone else notice how Larry Bowa looked like he was ready to cry in the dougout during the extra innings? Thought, man,<BR>this guys stressed. Had a whole lot of managerial moves to do. Hope he has same result tonight. <P>Rolan off to his typical opener as he hit<BR>his HR yesterday to make it 3 Opening Day<BR>Homers in as many years. yeah baby!!! 3-0 and looking good. i read on the phillies website and they are calling this brand of baseball "BOWA-BALL"<P>I LOVE IT!!

Fabulous Fight'n Phils are in 1st place.....granted it is only the 2nd week of April but hey if they could play the marlins every game.....what a record! LOL<P>Down 4 runs yesterday those "comeback kids"<BR>did it again. The more I get to watch Scott Rolan, the more impressed I am of him.<BR>The man can flat out play, has the heart, hussle and is a team player.....us old cronies call him a "gammer"...<BR>He had a huge game and "clutched up" when needed......keep close eye on this "all star"<P>Fun to watch.<BR>

What does everyone think of the new Turf at the Vet? From what I hear majorority of players love it, cept for Lieby, he says<BR>it'll rob him of all those infield hits cause<BR>it slows the ball down.....<P>what do you fellas think? <P>I think it'll definately reduce injuries.

I've always been a Phillies fan, just like my father.<P>This team is for real, and its funny how so many in this same town haven't caught on. <P>The Starting Pitching have all learned something under new Pitching Coach, Vern Ruhle. He Rules!!!!!<P>Losing Lieberthal may hurt eventually, but everyone seems to pull together when a key ingredient goes down.<P>Bowa won't let this team rest, and this young squad is still listening.<P>Atlanta and the New York Mets hope they'll catch them... but it won't happen!!!!!,
