Am looking at placing an under bet as Rangers <BR>o/u of 84 appears high.My thoughts are they have added nothing in pitching department and lost Wettland to retirement.I realize they have an awesome offensive lineup but don't see 13 games of improvement. Any thoughts??
i'm not crazy about the starters, but outside of the yankees, who has a great staff in the A.L.? if a-rod and pudge stay healthy, i think 85 is realistic. i think the bullpen will be adequate.
The Rangers will be fine on the offensive side plus their defense will improve with A-Rod. But their starting pitching is pretty bad. Their bullpen will be suspect without a great closer since Wetteland is gone. Do I think they will win 85 games this year? Probably not.
This team will certainly not be in the race come September unless all the others are sucking wind.<P>Their pitching staff will be so tired it will hurt just watching em. <P>The offense can go with the best of em, but should they go cold.... lotsa losses in a row will be on the horizon.
