Ranger I am all over the Yankees sweeping this opening series against the Devil Rays. The Devil Rays are one of the three teams I am going to use the first month of the season till we get enough data to follow this seasons trends. These two opening games are an easy way to open the season with solid wins. Make your bets early since these games are early and the solidness of these bets could make make the lines move with a last minute bet.

I can't see NY under -240 in either of these games. The Yanks will win 100, but will lose $$ for their backers overall this season.

If Tampa can somehow win one of two, you'll start the season off right. I would rather bet $200 over 2 games, than $240 in one game, a 1-1 split makes you over 1 unit. 1-1 on the yanks and you're down likely 1.5 units bare minimum.

I will play the yanks on the run line and hope to get a price around -150. If that is not feasible I will play the under on both games.

NY YANKEES is 65-27 (+3.8 Units) against TAMPA BAY since 1997. 57 of 89 games in this series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL since 1997. (Under= +21.5 Units)

TAMPA BAY is 10-27 (-4.6 Units) against NY YANKEES over the last 3 seasons.

18 of 34 games in this series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL over the last 3 seasons . (Under=+0.1
Units)

As you can see, almost all the under winnings came the first 4 seasons, and has done really nothing since.

Kind of funny to see a team winning 65 of 92 games and only bring home 3.8 units.

Be very careful folks, it's not a home game for either, they are playing in a foreign stadium, and anything is likely to happen. Don't forget the Pinella factor.

My money will be on the Rays tonight. Zambrano is no slouch.

MIKE MUSSINA vs. TAMPA BAY since 1997

MUSSINA is 11-3 when starting against TAMPA BAY with an ERA of 3.14 and a WHIP of 1.178.

His team's record is 14-5 (+3.2 units) in these starts. The OVER is 5-13. (-8.7 units)

VICTOR ZAMBRANO vs. NY YANKEES since 1997

ZAMBRANO is 2-3 when starting against NY YANKEES with an ERA of 3.89 and a WHIP of 1.632.

His team's record is 3-4 (+3.2 units) in these starts. The OVER is 2-5. (-3.5 units)

The under may be the logical play in this game.

This game is nothing more than a glorified pre-season game. It's a dog and pony show for the world to see. Sure, it "officially" counts, but WTF?????? I can't believe you guys are going to lay -240 on a public team with a pitcher who has not pitched pitched much in Spring Training. Mussina 8 innings 9.0 era, 2BB and 6 SO. It is never really very good to lay more than -135 on any game.

Freak is right. Listen to what he says. He is trying to help. We all should be trying to help each other. That's what these forums are all about.

Zambrano for T.B. has pitched 11.2 innings with an era of 4.63 this Spring. 4 BB and 12 SO in his time spent on the mound. Not much to go on for both pitchers. But common sense tells you in no way are the Yanks worth -240 against a Tampa team that will steal bases, and use the hit and run a lot in games. Tampa will score runs this year, and Sweet Lou will apply pressure when those times come into play. This early in the season look for the pitching to still be ahead of the hitting.

The +200 makes it hard to not to make play on the Devil Rats even though they look way over matched on paper. So I'll make a small wagor at +200 and the under 9x. Too much value not to take the dog in this. Buy the way, did you know the ESPN announcers are calling the game from a studio in Bristol and not the land of kung fu? Kinda like that man on the moon thing back in the 60's. Good Luck with Your Yanks today....CurcuitDJ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="images/icons/cool.gif" />

Intertops has under 9.5 -105

I am on the Rays ML +220 at Parbet, and +1.5 runs +145 at Intertops.

The public, the Japs, the media are all over how NY is this and that in these two games, and is treating the Rays like they don't belong.

I really think that Lou will do all he can to spoil the party against his old club, and wants to start the year on a winning note for a losing franchise.

I am going to go watch RAW that I taped, and then if I don't fall asleep I will watch the Rays win tonight.

I am telling you this series goes 1 to 1. I have that hunch...
