0-3 (-3.43 units) monday
84-77 (+1.23 units) overall

0-6 (-6.97 units) LAST TWO DAYS!!

i was on a roll. hard to believe my my thinking could go that bad all of a sudden. well needless to say my confidence is shaken a bit right now. i like some big favs today and when i like a favs the dogs usually win, so i am going to trun around and take the dogs in the games where i liked the favs. i am apparently think wrong right now, so hopefully this will work for me.

mets +135 over phillies
pittsburgh +136 over st louis
oakland +116 over white sox

all plays for one unit. again, just so you understand....i like the phils, cards and sox in these games BUT i am playing the opposites. if i go 0-3 i am going to be sick! good luck everybody, i know i need it.

jillmark,

LOL. Just recently went through such a very tough period.
Seemed like I couldn't buy a winner much less pick one.
All that could go wrong on the field did. Nary a relief pitcher was able to throw a strike
or get an out when needed. No lead was safe. Shaky Starters suddenly become Cy Young Award
winners. Journeymen riding the pine had Career days. Walking runs in became fashionable.
Good grief Charlie Brown?
It was like Casey Stengel said "can't anyone here play this game?"

What do when slumping. Having a bad streak is kind of like the rain. Inevitable.
Handicappers are alot like baseball teams, the good ones tend to have longer
winning streaks and shorter losing streaks while the poor ones tend to have longer
losing streaks and shorter winning streaks.
Slumps are one reason money management is so critical.
I like to divided my bankroll by 40.

"Small and often fills the purse."

What I try to do when slumping is play more conservative. Rise the bar in requirements
for a play. Bet slightly less til a turnaround. Look for good Right vs. Left situations. Tend to take Home teams.
Look for a good spot. A starter on a good Roll vs. a Starter struggling.
The better Starter's team playing well and hitting well with an edge in the bull pen.
A case of two teams headed in opposite directions.
Of course those kind of games usually are expensive.
Look for good value and low lines.
Play it close to the vest on just your best plays and make every shot count.

If the slump is really bad, I take a few days off and get away from it all.
Hoping to return with a refreshened outlook and a re-alignment of the stars. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Like your stategy of fading yourself. Not a bad idea of shaking up things.
Could do the trick.

Alot of ball left to be played.

I try to remeber this saying:

"Discipline is a gambers greatest weapon"

Nick The Greek

Wishing you the best of luck this season,

baz
