After looking over the PP's for the Belmont on Saturday, I really like the chances of Funny Cide becoming the 1st Triple Crown winner since 1978.
Funny Cide has enough tactical speed to get into a great position. This race lacks any quality speed so I wouldn't be surprised to see Funny on the front end.
A couple of bucks on Funny Cide on the nose.

BELMONT PROFILES

DYNEVER Dynaformer--Flamboyance, by Zilzal
Owner: Catherine Wills & Peter Karches
Breeder: Catherine Wills (Ky)
Trainer: Christophe Clement
Jockey: Edgar Prado
Best 3yo BRIS Speed: 102 (Aventura)

Dark bay is lightly raced with only four starts but has a tremendous upside.na
Rider: Gary Stevens
Best 3yo BRIS Speed: 99 (twice, in Preakness and Lexington)

Preakness S. (G1) third-place finisher has had two cracks at Funny Cide without success and must improve considerably to challenge for the win. His trainer has won this race four times, though, and Scrimshaw's tactical speed could prove very beneficial, especially if the pace is dawdling up front. That's a very distinct possibility since there are no other definitive front-runners in the field. A win would be surprising, but people learned long ago to not ignore this trainer's horses. A surprise is very possible, particularly if the top two falter in any way.

SUPERVISOR Skip Trial--Silver Doe, by Silver Buck
Owner: Rodney G. Lundock
Breeder: Dr. R. G. Lundock (Fl)
Trainer: Linda Rice
Rider: John Velazquez
Best 3yo BRIS Speed: 98 (twice, in OBS stakes in Florida and in a Calder optional claimer

How about this for trivia. How many horses in the Belmont have actually finished in front of Funny Cide? Well, it's Empire Maker and this guy. That happened when Supervisor ran fourth and Funny Cide fifth in the Holy Bull S. (G3) at Gulfstream Park back in January. Since then, though, this colt hasn't been able to compete effectively against top company and was no threat to the top two in the Peter Pan S. (G2), in which he ran third. At best, this late runner could get up for a share since he's bred top to bottom to run all day and the others aren't necessarily so. He's a great-grandson of 1967 Belmont winner Damascus while his dam is a granddaughter of Buckpasser, who probably would've won the Belmont had he not missed the classics. He would definitely add value to the exotics.

TEN MOST WANTED Deputy Commander--Wanted Again, by Criminal Type
Owner: Horizon Stable, Chisholm, Jarvis et al
Breeder: Jim H. Plemmons (Ky)
Trainer: Wally Dollase
Rider: Pat Day
Best 3yo BRIS Speed: 109 (Illinois Derby)

Other than Empire Maker, he was the talk of the town in Louisville before failing to sustain any bid in the Derby. He's since had a solid work, going seven furlongs in 1:25 on May 27 at Hollywood. Like with Empire Maker, his lack of a race since the Derby is a concern, but his conditioner wouldn't bother shipping across the country if he didn't feel there was a chance. Redemption would seem possible, and he'll probably be largely ignored at the windows. A sure-fire top three contender.
