MANDATORY PAYOUT


Closing day at Del Mar is always special -- this year more than ever, with a whopping $295,875 carryover and a MANDATORY PAYOUT.

Wednesday's Pick Six will be on races 5-10 on the 10-race card. First post will be at 2:00 p.m. PDT with race 5 scheduled to go at 4:05 p.m. Gates open at 11:30 on-track with Early Bird wagering offered beginning at 8 a.m.

There are no guarantees, but given the size of the carryover, the total Pick Six pool should be well excess of one million dollars.

Wednesday's card includes the Grade II Del Mar Futurity.

From what I'm hearing this years meet has been one of the most contentious in years. In other words in any given race anybody can win. So it could be one winner. Get out the dartboard and get yourself a lottery ticket!
