The Steelers have won 8 straight Monday night encounters, and have a 17-5 record in their last 22 attempts.<BR> <BR> The Steelers are a surprise leader of the AFC Central as a result of four stright wins after a season opening loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.<BR> <BR> Monday night has been a showcase not only for the Steelers, but specifically for Jerome Bettis. "The Bus" has eclipsed the 100 yard mark in eight of his nine appearances on Monday night. He has over 1000 yards in the primetime game, averaging almost 5 yards per carry.<BR> <BR> Bettis has not been able get it going, however, against this Titans defense. In the last six meetings with Tenneseee, Bettis has only rushed for 323 yards.<BR> <BR> After starting the season 0-3, the Titans have now won two straight games. Both of those wins have been won on the foot of Joe Nedney on the last plays of the games against the Lions, and Tampa Bay.<BR> <BR> This is only the second home game for the Steelers who have won three of their four total games on the road. <BR> <BR> Tennessee is only 1-3 on the road, with that win coming at winless Detroit. The Titans are 0-3 against the AFC, and are 0-2 versus division opponents.<BR> <BR> While the running of Bettis has been a huge key for the Steelers on offense, but the real spearhead of this Pittsburgh team is their defense.
