Anyone want to help me out and explain why the 49'ers are a 9 point favorite. Did Washington go from possible playoff contender to not gonna win another game after 1 monday night game? Didn't the 49'ers just score 16 and 14 against 2 avg (above) defenses, isn't Washingtons defense considered above avg also?
Can someone give me the whacky trend that I'm missing (like the 49'ers are 25 and 0 on the third week of September under a half moon and low tide)?
Whats up with this?

Put down the pipe allright. This number looks a little "high". One possible reason is the perceived revenge factor for Spurrier running up the score in the pre-season game.
I haven't downgraded the Redskins much based on Monday Nights game. Philly is a tough team that was on their game. For San francisco, Garcia hasn't played well so far. The Redskins do have a long trip after a short week of preparation. I'm sure there are many other factors as well.

Personally, I think the Niners will cover this number.<p>I'm sorry. We are playing for real now and believe me "the Mooch" DOES remember what the Redskins did in pre season and so do the players. Coming off a short week too. SF will be up for this. I'm looking for at least a 2TD win here.
