> Eagles brought their record to .500 last week with a win? over the NYGs in a game which saw the G-men run all over the Eagle defense (41 carries for 180 yds.) In a performance that Rush must have enjoyed through his withdrawal symptoms, Donovan McNabb went 9-23 for 64 yds. while the Eagle ground game managed 87 yds. on 23 carries. They controlled
the ball for 24:18. The winning margin came on, what else, an 84 yd. punt return. In the meantime, the snoozing Jets pulled one out down in Houston, coming awake (somewhat) in the fourth
quarter to score a TD and a FG. Houston dominated the ground game, threw for more yards with fewer incompletions and had 34:16 of clock.
These teams have two things in common: they both dominated Buffalo for one impressive win this season, and they both suck, big time. Having said that, I do feel that the standard 3pt spread is a little light. The Eagles have a little more talent on offense and considerably more on defense. They gotta wake up sometime and make a run at the Cowboys. I hope it?s now. Yeah, yeah, I know, Todd Pennington is coming back. Takin? the Eags for two stars.

Bal-1.5 vs. Den

Den. is down to their third string QB in Kanell while Bal. QB Boller and RB Jamal Lewis are not full speed because of injuries. Both teams have very decent defenses. Rain is supposed to hold off till late p.m., but this would appear to be a fair under bet. I also think the spread should be the standard 3pts, so let's go with one star parlay
Bal.-1.5/under 37.5.

Pbg-1.5 vs. StL.
Pbg has vowed to get back to the running game with Jerome Bettis. This is going to be tough with all kinds of interior off. line injuries, but we'll see. Looks like rain at Heinz Field, and the Rammies aren't gonna like that, even with the return of Marshall Faulk. StL is 1-9 SU 2-8 ATS last two years on the road. Pbg. is 7-4-1 SU, 3-9 ATS at home. Steelers have had a hell of a time scoring lately, while StL averages about 15 ppg last two years on the road. I don't think the total will reach 46. Two stars on the under.

Pbg-1.5/under 46 parlay one star. Just a feeling. Stillers need this one bad.

SF-7 vs. Arz

Much to my dismay Frisco got it back together vs. TB last week. This is an experienced team with a lot of veteran
leadership, the Terrell Owens thing notwithstanding. I don't look for a letdown here. Niners need to make a run and Arz.
is a great place to start. Two stars on the Niners.

TB-6.5 vs. Dal.

I'm not going to bet this game, but can't let it go without comment. The test here is not for Dallas, it is for TB. If they lose, or get lucky in a close one over the Cowboys and get outplayed, I think their season is in trouble.
What they did last year took a tremendous amount of psychic and physical energy. They have some age on them and they have looked tired this year except for the Philly game. Key guys are injured, but that is part of the game. They need to physically dominate Dal. in this game and slap them around a little to boot. That ain't gonna be easy. Parcells knows exactly what is going on here and he will have his boys ready. Although he has nowhere near the talent available, the Big Tuna has reverted to his old NYG ways with a good
ground game, a judicious passing attack, a decent defense, and clock control. I think this is the most interesting game of the day with the most implications. Wish I could take a position.
