Thur: 0-1 - 4.8 Stars Season :25-17 + 9 Stars
Cin.+3 (6-5, 8-4) at Pbg. (4-7, 5-6)
Pbg.'s victory last week was a 13-6 disgrace, courtesy of five t/os by the Brownies. Two weeks before that masterpiece they managed to pound the Cardinals 28-15 while being out gained on the ground and through the air while giving up 3:44 of clock. This team has not produced a good, convincing effort since week three when they handled this Cin. outfit that didn't have it's stuff together yet by a 17-10 mark.
Meantime, the Bengals have been playing solid football for the last six weeks except for a dismal 14-17 loss vs. Ariz. on the road in week nine. They have two solid Rbs that seem to be able to co-exist successfully, a hot QB in Kitna, and a defense that seems to get the job done most every week. Three stars on Cin.
NO E (5-6, 5-6) at Wsh. (4-7, 5-4-2)
The Skins have a 14-6 advantage in t/os the last four weeks and have a 1-4 record to show for it. They allow around 150 ypg on the ground, but are at least consistent on defense, allowing between 20 and 24 pts. in all four games. They have held opps to under 20 pts twice this year.
It is now or never for N.O, a situation that has not produced much success in the past. I am going to bite on this one more time. Surely the Saints will have the sense to use a conservative game plan and wait for the ball to come to them. McCallister should have a good day. NO for two stars.
