Hilton super contest:
Heading into Week 15 of this Las Vegas mega-contest, the Hilton is hosting a mini-contest. Contestants who were lucky enough to sign up early in August are eligible for the best record over the last three weeks for a $10,000 cash prize.
There are 214 out of 345 total contestants playing in the mini-contest.
Here is a look at this week's top four consensus plays:
The home 'chalk' Cincinnati Bengals are minus 2 1/2 over the road-weary San Francisco 49ers in in the top spot this week. We had 116 players taking the Bengals to get the cover.
The Minnesota Vikings, minus 1 1/2 favorites, are on the road facing the Bears. A total of 101 gamblers are backing the Vikings to cover the number. Weather might play a factor in this matchup.
We have another road favorite with the Baltimore minus six over the Oakland Raiders. This is the third-most popular choice this week. We had 93 gamblers on the Birds from Baltimore.
The upstart Jacksonville Jaguars plus seven points in New England come in at number four, with 82 contestants taking the underdogs.
The Stardust Invitational:
This long-standing prestige Las Vegas contest is coming down to the final two weeks. David Stratton of Gaming Today advanced from the semifinals last week and will take on the winners of Friday night’s head-to-head matchup.
It comes down to a former winner, Ken White vs. Steve Fessik this Friday night in the sports book.
Each contestant must submit seven plays with one best bet. The winner will go against Stratton next week for the title.
The Gamblers Challenge:
When things look good they look good to most gamblers, and this holds true here in this Station Casinos contests. Here is a look at the top four consensus picks for Week 15.
The Cincinnati Bengals minus 2 1/2 take the top spot here as well, with 43 players taking the home favorites over Jeff Garcia and the San Francisco 49ers.
Once again bringing up the second slot is the Minnesota Vikings, 1 1/2-point favorites, on the road in the Windy City. We had a close second place here as 42 contestants chose the Vikings, only one less then the Bengals.
The Jaguars, road underdogs at plus seven, are again in the third spot over the New England Patriots. We had 32 contestants backing the 'dogs here.
The St. Louis Rams, seven-point home favorites, are taking on the Seattle Seahawks in a battle for the NFC West. This was our fourth-most popular choice. We had 30 gamblers going against the woeful Seahawks on the road.
