Den +6.5 (10-5, 8-7) at GB (9-6, 9-6)
The Broncs have been a ground eating machine of late, averaging an unbelievable 214 ypg. on an average 43 carries per game their last four. This performance has allowed Jake Plummer to impersonate a competent NFL QB, throwing for three Tds and three ints., but only 9 incomps per game. Its not like the Den. defense can’t be
scored on or anything, but KC has been the only team to put up more than 20 in the last six weeks.
Meanwhile, the Pack has won their last three after a Thanksgiving loss to the Lions. They were
workmanlike vs. Chi. and SD, Favre using a 9-2 edge in t/o to best advantage. The game vs. Oak
was the stuff of legends as they say, and any fool would have known to take the Packers under
these circumstances. Any fool!!
At any rate, Denver is playing the most impressive football in the NFL right now and I think seven is way too many to lay. I mean, Favre and the Pack did leave it all out in Oak didn’t they? Didn't they..? If Den. needed this one I would make it a four star pick, but their chance for a big letdown is almost as great as GBs. Two stars on the hated Broncos + 7 (bth)
