Open for NFL head coaching position..
This should be interesting!
Has said all along he would only coach in Florida, so that would narrow the list to three.
I can't see Miami making a coaching change, and 'Dungy firing' rumors have been flying again all year.
So, where do ya'll expect Spurrier to go?
I imagine he already has the offer on the table since he outright resigned.
Tampa Bay?
Jacksonville? (if there is a God}
Or, anyone think he will he pack up and head North?
Minn.?

Yeah, i love the Gators.
But i would be happy as all Hell if he came here and got the Jags going in the right direction!
It would be nice to have someone here who could optimize the Brunell/Smith&McCardell tandem.
I think we have all the tools, just the wrong mechanic ,,,so to speak.

I would seriously doubt it if he ends up in Jax. To be frank I don't think he ends up in Tampa either.
The fit for his offensive scheme is Minnesota. They have the offensive tools with at QB, WR, all they need is a durable running back, and to clean up the mess they have there.
One thing I think Spurrier would do is get inside Moss's head and snap some reality into him.
I know Spurrier said I am not leaving Florida, but $$ talks, and he was making a good load in Florida. Funny how Green resigned same day he resigned Florida.
The other viable option I would think would be San Diego, good weather, good young nucleus of talent, and San Diego has $$$ to give.
Should be interesting indeed.

I can't see him leaving FLA. regardless of $.
Mostly because of the whole family situation, with his father-in-law ill and his wifes ties to the community.
He has also said he would never live anyplace cold, and i don't doubt that for a second.
Washington seems like a joke to me with Snyder breathing down the Coaches neck every damn game, the guy is a lowlife geek with a wallett, thats the only team Spurrier could go to that would prevent me from rooting for him.
I have to beleive it is between :Jax, Tampa & Carolina.
Then again, stranger things have happened, will be watching this one pretty damn close.[Linked Image from sgtfuzzbubble99.homestead.com]
It is a shame to have him leave UF. regardless.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Stoops indeed did come back.
He still has a home here, only a few miles from Spurrier in fact, that he comes home to after the bowl games are completed.
I don't put much stock into the Shanahan rumors though.
It will be very, very intersting regardless.

Yup.
I think Stoops is comming back to us...
I keep seeing and hearing that Spurrier is meeting with that midget asswad Snyder from Washington. i swear man, if he is dumb enough to go to Washington he should be cursed for life.
I hope his pant legs get stuck in Snyders escalator and his feet get diced if he does.
'Stumpy Steve'
Nahhhhh, he won't be that friggin gullible.
Jags, Tampa or Carolina...Gotta be.

Looks a bit clearer now i guess.
My prediction .
Spurrier will be in Carolina , Stoops will be back in Gainsville.
Looks pretty obvious now.
Sucks, Spurrier would have been great with the Jaguars current offensive group.
Oh well, glad to hear Stoops was willing to come back to Fla at least.

Nope......
Stoops is staying put after all, damn..
Looks like it may be Shanahan after all, i like Shanahan but, he doesn't really seem like the right personality for the Gators,,,if that makes any sense at all.
Sad to watch all the Gator players heading out early now, guess i nwould probably do the same though, never know how your stats could be affected with someone new calling the plays.

No matter where he goes he will do the same thing Pitino did in Boston. Nothing. He won't be getting al the best players this time. You heard it here first.
