Ok, after Sunday's debacle I've regrouped (I hope), so here's my take on tonights TB/STL game.
Tampa Bay needs to establish the run to have any chance, their ground game has been non-existent lately, can they run on the new Ram defense, well,I don't think so. St.Louis has given up an avg of 58 yrds per game over their last 3 games which is excellent. Over that same time the Bucs are averaging 60 yrds per game, which of course is terrible. St.Louis will stop the run,so that leaves us the pass, can the Bucs throw on the Ram defense, especially if they fall behind late.I think Brad Johnson can hold his own when he starts chucking the ball but don't expect a big game from him,the Bucs passing game matches up pretty even with the Rams passing defense, but Johnson needs to have a big game & that won't happen.
Breaking down the Rams, there banged up,but, with Frisco on their tail you can best believe those injuries won't matter tonight, these guys will play & play hard. Is the Bucs defense that good, not really, they had better teams in the past. Faulk will get his 100yrds & Warner will get his 300yrds,the Ram offense is twice as better as the Buc defense is. Even if Warner tosses 3 picks,it still won't be close.
3 of the last 4 meetings between these two have been close, but, the Bucs had better teams then, not so now.
Look for the Rams offense to have their way (anything new?),the Ram defense will stuff the run and keep any big numbers thru the air at a minimun.
Prediction: Lay the points
Score: Rams 31 Tampa Bay 16
Good Luck!
