CURRENT PLAYOFF STATUS OF EACH NFL TEAM…

Here is the current playoff status of each of the 32 National Football League teams heading into the final Sunday of the regular season.

PLAYOFF SCENARIOS:

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (2-13) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (13-2)
San Francisco has been eliminated from the playoffs. New England has clinched the AFC East, a first-round bye and home field through a second round game. It may limit the use of its regulars this week.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (14-1) at BUFFALO BILLS (9-6)
Pittsburgh has clinched the AFC North and has home field advantage throughout the playoffs and may limit the playing time of its starters. Buffalo, playing for an AFC wild card berth, can clinch a playoff bid with:
1) A WIN AND A NY JETS LOSS, OR
2) A WIN AND A DENVER LOSS OR TIE, OR
3) A TIE AND A DENVER LOSS.

MIAMI DOLPHINS (4-11) at BALTIMORE RAVENS (8-7)
Miami has been eliminated from the playoffs. Baltimore is playing for an AFC wild card berth and can get into the playoffs with:
1) A WIN, A BUFFALO LOSS, A DENVER LOSS AND A JACKSONVILLE LOSS OR TIE.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS (8-7) at WASHINGTON REDSKINS (5-10)
Minnesota is playing for an NFC wild card berth and can clinch a playoff bid with:
1) A WIN OR TIE
2) A ST LOUIS LOSS OR TIE.
Washington has been eliminated from the playoffs.

CINCINNATI BENGALS (7-8) at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (13-2)
Cincinnati has been eliminated from the playoffs. Philadelphia has clinched the NFC East and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Eagles may limit the playing time of starters this week.

GREEN BAY PACKERS (9-6) at CHICAGO BEARS (5-10)
Green Bay has clinched the NFC North, will host a first round playoff game and may limit the playing time of its starters. Chicago has been eliminated from the playoffs.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (7-8) at CAROLINA PANTHERS (7-8)
New Orleans is playing for a wild card berth and can clinch a post-season bid with:
1) A WIN AND A ST LOUIS LOSS OR TIE, OR
2) A WIN AND SEATTLE AND MINNESOTA WIN OR TIE.
Carolina is playing for an NFC wild card berth and can clinch a playoff bid with:
1) A WIN AND A MINNESOTA LOSS, OR
2) A WIN AND A SEATTLE WIN OR TIE, OR
3) A WIN OR TIE AND A ST LOUIS LOSS OR TIE.

DETROIT LIONS (6-9) at TENNESSEE TITANS (4-11)
Detroit and Tennessee have been eliminated from the playoffs.

NEW YORK JETS at ST. LOUIS RAMS
New York Jets are playing for an AFC wild card spot and can earn a post-season bid with:
1) A WIN OR TIE, OR
2) A BUFFALO LOSS OR TIE, OR DENVER LOSS OR TIE.
St. Louis is playing for the NFC West title and a wild card berth. St. Louis can clinch the championship with:
1) A WIN AND A SEATTLE LOSS
St. Louis can clinch a playoff berth with:
1) A WIN AND A MINNESOTA LOSS, OR
2) A WIN AND A NEW ORLEANS/CAROLINA TIE.

CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-12) at HOUSTON TEXANS (7-8)
Cleveland and Houston have been eliminated from the playoffs.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (5-10) at ARIZONA CARDINALS (5-10)
Tampa Bay and Arizona have been eliminated from the playoffs.

ATLANTA FALCONS (11-4) at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (8-7)
Atlanta has clinched the NFC South, a first round bye, a second round home game and may limit the play of its starters. Seattle has clinched a playoff berth and can clinch the NFC West and a first-round home game with:
1) A WIN OR TIE, OR
2) A ST LOUIS LOSS OR TIE.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (12-3) at DENVER BRONCOS
Indianapolis has clinched the AFC South and will host a first round playoff game. It may limit the playing time of its starters. Denver is playing for a wild card berth and can clinch a post-season spot with:
1) A WIN, OR
2) A TIE AND A BUFFALO LOSS OR TIE, OR
3) A BUFFALO LOSS AND JACKSONVILLE AND BALTIMORE LOSS OR TIE.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (8-7) at OAKLAND RAIDERS (5-10)
Jacksonville is playing for an AFC wild card berth and can make it to the post season with:
1) A WIN, PLUS A BUFFALO AND DENVER LOSS.
Oakland has been eliminated from the playoffs.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (7-8) at SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (11-4)
Kansas City has been eliminated from the playoffs. San Diego has clinched the AFC West, will host a first round playoff game and may limit the playing time of its regulars.

DALLAS COWBOYS (6-9) at NEW YORK GIANTS (5-10)
Dallas and the New York Giants have been eliminated from the playoffs.
