Welcome to the 2023 Three and Out Contest!
1. The entry fee for the contest is $50, and each person is allowed a maximum of two entries. Any contestant with more than two entries will be disqualified. The entry fee is non-refundable and can be paid through three methods: Zelle to freak@freaksforum.com (without any memo comments), player transfer funds via Bovada, or Money Order via regular mail. If you're interested in the latter two options, please contact FREAK for further instructions.
These are the only available options for entering the contest.2. The deadline for entry is Friday, September 8, 2023, at 9 PM Eastern.
3. The Three and Out elimination contest requires contestants to choose one selection from the list of games each week during the 2023 NFL Season. The selection must come from the designated Three and Out contest lines. There will not be any ties since all point spreads will be half-points.
4. Three and Out is an elimination-style contest. Contestants will be eliminated after losing three selections. The winner will be determined when all but one of the contestants have been eliminated. If all remaining contestants are eliminated on the same day, the contest will be considered over, and the prize money will be equally split among the final contestants that are eliminated.
5. Three and Out will consist of a maximum of 18 contest days, starting from Sunday, September 10, 2023, through Sunday, January 7, 2024. Only Sunday games will be considered for the contest. If, after the final week of the regular season on January 7, 2024, there is more than one remaining contestant, the prizes will be distributed as follows:
If the contestant with the least amount of losses has zero (0) losses, then:
- Contestant(s) with 0 losses will receive 70% of the prize pool.
- Contestant(s) with 1 loss will receive 20% of the prize pool.
- Contestant(s) with 2 losses will receive 10% of the prize pool
If the contestant with the least amount of losses has one (1) loss, then:
- Contestant(s) with 1 loss will receive 70% of the prize pool.
- Contestant(s) with 2 losses will receive 30% of the prize pool.
If the contestant with the least amount of losses has 2 losses, then:
- Contestant(s) with 2 losses will receive 100% of the prize pool.
Any prize level with more than one contestant will have the prize money equally split among the contestants at that level. It is not permitted to split the prize pool between contestants unless all involved have two losses, ending the contest.
6. The contest will pay out 100% of the paid entry fees to the winner(s). The total prize money to be paid out will be the full prize pool, which will depend on the number of paid contestants, as all entry fees collected will be added to the payout pool.
7. Contestants must submit their weekly selections to the official contest e-mail address, which will be provided to all entrants.
Selections must be submitted by 10 PM Eastern on Friday for Sunday's schedule of games. Failure to submit a weekly selection will result in a loss for that week's selection. Only one selection is accepted per contestant ID per week.
8. Contestants are responsible for correctly submitting their weekly selection. The weekly lines will be posted on the official Three and Out webpage at
https://freaksforum.com/threeandout.shtml. As a courtesy, contestants will also receive an e-mail with the weekly lines. However, only the selection provided in the reply e-mail will be considered as the official selection.
9. In the event of a game cancellation or postponement, the game must be played by Monday of that week to be considered valid. If the game is not played by Monday, the contestant will be awarded a loss for that game.
10. Standings will be updated and displayed each week during the contest on the official Three and Out webpage at
https://freaksforum.com/threeandout.shtml.11. Entry fees will not be refunded except in the case of contest cancellation. Entries are non-transferable. The NFL season must go on for a minimum of 6 weeks for the contest to be declared official. It does not have to be 6 consecutive weeks but 6 weeks overall. If the season is shortened before a winner is declared, payouts will take place as outlined in Rule 5.
12. Any questions or disputes regarding the interpretation of these rules or situations not covered by these rules will be resolved by FREAK in a fair manner that considers the interests of all concerned. The decision made by FREAK in such cases shall be final and binding on all contestants.
13. FREAK reserves all rights, including the right to make changes to the contest rules and format or cancel the contest at any time.
14. FREAK has the authority to disqualify any participant from the Three and Out Contest if there is a belief of possible fraud, dishonesty, violation of contest rules, or other misconduct, regardless of whether it is related to this contest. This includes instances of harassment via email.
