Many took it on the chin with the dodgers. Alas it is a long baseball season. I am keying in this year with a smaller set of plays rather than 4-5 games like years past. New York Mets -220 vs. Pittsburgh
Look for the Mets to start the season rock solid. Big guns did little on Monday and they still put up six runs. Kip Wells still hasn't proven himself as a legit pitcher and the Mets won't help his cause on this day [img]images/icons/tongue.gif" border="0[/img]

Chi -1.4 o Cin<p>Kery Wood IMO is a solid starter and should go the distance against yet another bad cincy team. I like the cubs bouncing back from last night's loss and even things up with cincy.<p>GLA

Minnesota (Milton/Riechert) -130 Playing the Twins here they have a very solid lineup from top to bottom and the bullpen is looking pretty good. Today they send Eric Milton to the mound he had a shaky spring pitching 27 innings with an ERA of 4.98 striking out 13 and only walking 2 and has had allot of success against the Royals as they always struggle against good left handers, the Twins are 8-2 when he takes the mound against KC with 8 straight wins. Dan Reichert takes the mound for the Royals and he is a very streaky pitcher if he is on he is pretty solid but if he is off watch out he pitched 15 innings during the spring with an ERA of 5.74 with 9 strikeouts and 4 walks and is backed up by a bullpen that looked very vulnerable last game. So I will be backing the Minnesota Twins to keep up their good play and prove the people in charge that they don't deserve any consideration of contraction as I think they are a team on a mission this year!

ny mets -210 over pittsburgh<p>pirates are a bad team, with some injuries. mets seem to be really solid this year and should pound the bucs today. hate laying this kind of money, and i don't do it very often, bet this is a good spot.
