4 units South Carolina +3 @ Clemson

The gamecocks are one of the surprising teams in the SEC. They enter this game 8-3 and knocking on the back door to the CFP. USC is healthy and the combo of Sellers/Sanders is formidable. Clemson has looked great against inferior opponents, and lost their only two games against legitimate foes (Uga and Louisville). The cocks have one of the best defenses around, and defense travels. Take USC + 3

3 units Vandy +10.5 vs Tenn

Tennessee must be feeling good. After sitting on the outside looking in they are now in the driver seat to make the playoffs. All they have to do is win this week in Nashville. This isn’t your grandpas Vandy…these dores will be a live home dog seeking revenge. Tennessee struggles on the road and this will be Vandys Super Bowl. I think the Vols escape, but laying more than 10 is too much. Take Vandy +10.5

5 units USC +7.5 vs Notre Dame


Notre Dame and bounced back since an early season loss to Northern Illinois, but the competition has been average at best since then. Their best wins are against Louisville, Georgia Tech without their QB, Army, and Navy. Now they go on the road to arch rival USC with a home playoff game on the line. Can they perform under pressure? The Trojans have improved on defense, and you know Lincoln will always have a solid game script ready. Riley is 8-3-1 as a home dog, and will salvage his season if USC can pull off the upset. More than a TD is too much for the Irish to cover. Take usc +7.5

3 Units Tex AM +5 vs Texas

The stakes could not be higher in this one. Birth in the Sec championship game vs UGA, chance to make the playoffs, and state bragging rights. These two teams hate each other, and it’s a crime they have not played in a decade. Even though the Aggies lost last week, they still have everything to play for. The longhorns have not been tested since their home loss to Uga, and will face their hardest road test of the season. Rumors have been swirling that Quinn Ewers has an injured ankle, so I would not be surprised if we see Arch at some point. I think this is a bad matchup for the Texas offense, and this will come down to a fg. Take AM +5.

4 units Oregon -18.5 vs Washington

This is a bad situation for the Huskies. Oregon comes into this one with double revenge after losing to Washington twice last year. Oregon is looking to bounce back after surviving a road trip to Wisconsin. They enjoyed a much needed bye week and are now rested. In contrast, Washington is 2-11 ats as a conference road dog of 13 pts or more. They also sport a 1-6-1 ats record off a bye. This one will get ugly, and the ducks will show no mercy. Take Oregon -18.5

Once again we were close to a killer week and ended the day roughly even. Trojans back to back 100 yd pick 6s did In out 5 unit play. Am couldn’t score on 3 plays from the 2 yard line. Back with conference champ picks.

What a way to cap off the regular season. We piped the book going 6-1 on Championship weekend. Enjoy the extra cash this holiday season, and spoil the wife and kids with the good Christmas gifts! We will be back for bowl season and the playoff run.

Hope everyone is ready to make some money this football postseason. I plan on staying away from most of the lesser bowls. Hard to gauge results with players in the portal, coaching changes, and lack of motivation. Back with playoff round 1 selections soon.

Playoff Selections

4 units Indiana +7

This battle for Indiana will kick off the first round. Indiana is the best passing attack the ND has faced this year. The Hoosiers are battle tested having faced the physicality of Michigan and Ohio st. Indiana has the better QB, and is good enough on defense to limit ND on the ground. I’d also give the nod to Coach cig as far as coaching edges go. Take Indy +7

3 units Penn st -8.5

This is a bad situational and physical matchup for Smu. I think cold weather will have the greatest impact
In this game. White out on the road vs a Penn st team that will physically outmatch SMU on both lines of scrimmage. SMU might score some early but in the end Penn st will adjust and squeeze the life out of the mustangs. Take Penn st -8.5

4 units Texas/Clemson under 52

The strengths for both of these teams is the defense. Both teams will want to run the ball and control the clock. Both teams struggle converting redzone possessions into touchdowns. I can easily see this turning into a rock fight. I think the lines of scrimmage for Texas will win out in the end. I’m thinking this one will be similar to the Tex/Tex am game. Take under 52

5 units Tennessee +7.5

I think this is one of the worst matchups for Ohio st. Tennessee is dominant on the defensive line and has a better offense when compared to Michigan. Ohio st weakness is their oline and a first read and scramble qb. What a waste of Wr talent. Tennessee leads the sec in rushing and will look to muddy this one up. I see this as a fg game either way that will be close until the end. Take the vols +7.5 and sprinkle some on the ML for good measure.

What a bad game that was to watch. Think both teams are overrated. Will be looking at Uga as a dog on New Year’s Day. Let bounce back with the other 3 selections this afternoon

Farmageddon kicks off in Ireland today at noon. Both these teams’ identities revolve around a physical, downhill running game. Both teams return seasoned QB play in Rocco Becht and Avery Johnson, but who will Becht throw to after losing 2 1000 yd receivers? K state and Johnson have returning production, but Iowa st has one of the better pass defenses in the Big 12. In addition, I can only imagine the distractions for these two teams from the corn fields playing in Ireland. Team offense always starts out slow early in the season, and both teams will lean on the running game to chew up the clock and get the win. Take the under in a tight 24-21 type game.
