Justin Verlander has pitched 17 innings in August and has allowed 5 runs. He has 18 strikeouts and just 2 walks in that time. Dylan Cease goes for SD and he’s just okay. 5-11 and a 4.61 ERA. Look for the Giants to play well today.

Meanwhile, it'll be southpaw Jason Alexander starting tonight for Houston. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in four straight starts, with a total of 4 ER in 22 2/3 IP in that span. The Astros (63-58) and Orioles (67-54) both trend to the Under this season, and that should continue tonight at Camden Yards.

Houston has struggled scoring lately but see them breaking through tonight and getting a handful of runs. Alexander has an era in the 2's overall and in his last 3 starts going 2-0 with giving up only 2 earned runs in 18 innings. Young for Baltimore has an era in the upper 5's on the season. He has pitched a little better lately giving up 6 earned runs his last 15 innings but see the underdog getting tha win here
