I like Arizona even more with Zach Agnos starting instead of Sugano, since Agnos comes in late notice with a 5.59 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and no starts this season, which puts Colorado in a tough spot against a hot Diamondbacks lineup. Eduardo Rodriguez gives Arizona the much cleaner starting pitching edge at 4-1 with a 2.53 ERA, and he has the better bullpen behind him if this turns into a late-inning game. Colorado’s offense has been cold lately, while Arizona has been swinging it well and should be able to create traffic early against a pitcher being stretched into an unfamiliar role. With the lineup, bullpen, starter, and home-field edges all pointing toward Arizona, I’m comfortable laying the -1 and looking for the D-backs to win by margin.

Mets -110

The Mets start David Peterson who is 2-4, a 5.40 ERA and 1.57 WHIP. Not great numbers but in five of his last six starts he’s allowed 2 runs or less. The Nats go with Cade Cavalli who’s 2-2, 4.05 ERA and 1.54 WHIP.
The Mets have some talent but it hasn’t been performing. They need a win here to split the series.
