Last week, the model got a sharp slap in the face, as its’ fawning over the Spurs paid a price. Although I haven’t looked under the hood, I’m pretty sure it has to do with, perhaps, an overly negative data-bias against the Eastern Conference, plus, maybe, a too positive data-bias for home teams in the playoffs. That makes it sound like I’m just an innocent bystander, which I’m not, but as bad as the numbers have been, it’s good to know where to point the blame. Despite this, can’t help liking today’s projection. GLTA
