Very simply put Aaron Nola has not had a good yr but Eric Lauer is 2-1 with an ERA of 0.93 vs Phil lifetime but so far the LAD are 10-0 when Lauer appears in a game as a starter or reliever and is 3-0 when starts since coming to the LAD so I will take the Dodgers

Bublik 2-0 sets. He’s been great all year and I don’t expect Diaz to trouble his big serve much even on a slower surface like clay

Pirates have the worst bullpen in baseball. They will be in game 2 of a DH, their pen will be shot.

After Valdez’s debacle yesterday with 6 runs in 0.2 innings, both teams scored only 7 runs, wind still blowing in and today’s pitchers are better, Detroit ranked 22nd in road scoring and their pitcher has an ERA of 3.22 and their bullpen is ranked 5th since 1st of June. Good luck.

Lauer- His strikeout rate sits at just 21.6%, while his fastball averages under 90 mph.Philadelphia has one of the better offenses in baseball against left-handed pitching.
Nola- has already surrendered 20 home runs in fewer than 100 innings, and hitters continue to square him up at an alarming rate.He's also allowed at least two earned runs in 18 of his 20 starts, making it difficult to trust him against an offense like this.
Unfortunately for Nola, the matchup couldn't be much worse.
