This is Freak's recap of Bad Man weekly results and musings of the past weeks action!

Week 1 is in the book and we have our first 5-0 on the season by Jwill who wins $166 and is free rolling the rest of the season. Jwill also just happens to be the reigning, defending, Bad Man Champion from 2025-2026 Season.

The overall top consensus plays went 1-4 with the lone winner being the top play in Pittsburgh due to the line move after the release of the lines. It would've been interesting to see what the pick total on this game would've been without the QB injury listed after lines came out. I'll call this top selection win with an asterisk but it counts nonetheless to make the top play 1-0.

We had as mentioned the lone 5-0 but had four players that went 0-5.

The numbers from week 1 are brutal all around. Overall consensus went 6-7 with a combined overall record of 129-171 and that includes the 30 wins from Pittsburgh with only 2 losses. Take that lone game out and it's 99-169.

PHI was 2-23
DAL was 5-23
DEN was 3-17

Those three games alone cost contestants 63 losses and only 10 wins for a paltry 13.7% win rate.

That doesn't include TN was 4-12, add that in and it's 14 wins against 75 losses.

Favorites went 9-5 overall for week 1.

Week 2 completed.

Jwill leads the way at 9-1 with three tied for second at 7-3.

UpTwnClwn goes 5-0 and wins $166.

The consensus top picks won with DEN and stands at 2-0. For the week 2-3 bringing the season total to 3-7

Another overall losing week for the players going 138-162.

Main losses came from:

CHI 4-15
TB 3-15
HOU 5-23
PHI 4-12
LAC 4-11

Overall these games went 20-76 for a 20.83% win rate.

Now that we have the extended preseason behind this we should see some better results or at least we should. 16 more weeks left for a total of 80 possible points.

Week 3 is in the books and the carnage continued.

The overall top selection in Seattle went down in flames and the Best Bet is 2-1 for the season. The overall consensus for the week went 2-3 and sits at 5-10 for the year.

At this time, I can say in the now 26 years of running the Bad Man contest, this by far has been the most difficult for the players. In an unbelievable stat after three weeks only 13 contestants are above 50%.

It's been an absolute beat down and at some point we should see a turnaround. Only question is when.
