Ed Sehon
KENTUCKY DERBY
#1 Known Agenda (6-1 morning line). “One of the most exaggerated negatives in Triple Crown racing is the Kentucky Derby #1 post position draw. With the addition of space between the innermost stall and the rail in the new 20-spot gate, it has all but been eliminated. So, don’t sweat the small stuff. Pay attention to these absolute positives: 1) Best jockey in the game (Irad Ortiz Jr.); 2) Soon-to-be HOF trainer (Todd Pletcher); 3) Additional distance (1 1/4 mile) suits stretch-running style; 4) Focusing with blinkers; 5) Won deepest prep race (Florida Derby); 6) Son of super sire Curlin. They all add up to #1 Known Agenda. Wager: Win.”
Churchill Downs Race No. 4
#7 Oak Hill (8-1 morning line). “Improving 4-year-old gelded son of Distorted Humor comes off two strong Place efforts sprinting in preparation for mile assignment in loaded allowance optional claiming event with $121,000 purse. Savvy trainer Al Stall Jr. and young jockey Colby Hernandez know way to the Twin Spires winner’s circle. Once he gets to front, he’ll never look back. Wager: Win & Place.”
Churchill Downs Race No. 6
#3 New York Girl (8-1 morning line). “Superior horseman Bill Mott ships 4-year-old gal up from Tampa Bay Downs, cuts her back to mile and makes positive rider switch to Johnny Velasquez for Grade 2 Churchill Downs Distaff Turf Mile. Solid four-furlong work over track says N.Y. gal is ready to disco in Kentucky. Wager: Win & four-horse exacta box of 3,4,5,6.”
Churchill Downs Races Nos. 9-12
$0.50 Pick 4 (cost $72)
Race 9: 1,4,5,13
Race 10: 1,4,5,9
Race 11: 3,5,7
Race 12 (Derby): 1,10,14,17

Duane Colucci
KENTUCKY DERBY
#17 Highly Motivated (10-1 morning line). “I love the Blue Grass prep for Highly Motivated, his speed figures keep improving and he is sitting on a monster race. Chad Brown is the best trainer in America in my opinion and should add a Kentucky Derby to his impressive resume. My top 3 are #17 Highly Motivated, #1 Known Agenda & #14 Essential Quality.”

John Lauro
KENTUCKY DERBY
#4 Keepmeinmind (50-1 morning line). “His blowout in 46 and change on April 23 was a beautiful sight to see. Trainer Robertino Diodoro lost time with him due to snow at Oaklawn this winter, but he’s ready to improve on his third-place finish [behind Essential Quality and Hot Rod Charlie) in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. Strong Win, Place & Show bet. Also including in trifecta box with #7 Mandaloun, #8 Medina Spirit, #10 Midnight Bourbon, No. 15 Rock Your World & No. 16 King Fury.”
Churchill Downs Race No. 9
#2 Winfromwithin (8-1 morning line). “Winfromwithin set a track record in the Columbia Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs on March 6 and is 8-1 in the Grade 2 American Turf Stakes for 3-year-old colts. And we get jockey Luis Saez, who is riding Derby favorite Essential Quality.”
